*$&#$*^%*$ The hives and welts are back! WTF! I am taking steroids. I did not take an allergy pill last night but thought it went away since nothing showed up for two days. Work up fine but within 15 minutes, this starts.

Otherwise, it is a beautiful day. Upper 80s low to medium humidity, lots of sunshine!

Schoolwork today. Need to figure out a midterm report by Monday! That includes interviewing a non-profit. Hope someone is available at my trust backup location.

I'm up! I am usually a very restless sleeper. I guess I collapsed last night. I don't remember anything other than going to sleep last night. I feel so good.

Wow, the hives are back already? I really hope the doctors can find a reason. I bet you are miserable.

Sending good thoughts your way and good luck on the report.

Good morning!

I need to mow today. It's looking really shabby out there after all the rain.

Need to pick beans AGAIN.

I seriously hope I don't get called away from home today. I need a day at home!

Hope you all have a great Friday and a fun weekend planned.

I'm thinking about going back to school to get my MBA. I think there is a good chance I can get my boss to agree to pay for it. But it totally scares me to try. What if I fail the GRE? What if I can't do the work?

Hey yall.

Czech, I'd take some of those beans if I could. We didn't plant any and my uncle, who usually plants a huge garden, didnt.

I love fresh beans.

DG, the only thing you have to fear, is fear itself. (You liked that didn't you? Huh? Am I right?)

Jlbear71, have been exposed to poison oak or ivy? My dad did that when it got into his blood. He had to take some serious medicine for a while.

NJN, I bet SS did a great job. Hope he had a lot of fun.

Hey everybody else.

Jibear - clearly you are allergic to your job. Go home. Lol

Yesterday I drove to Ohio to spend the weekend with my parents. It was exhausting but I made it all in one day. Today I am relaxing while they are at work and trying to decide where I want to go for dinner.

I didn't get my Mexican last night...cry  The granite people came over to finish up the countertops and our hair stylist came over to cuts G's hair.

Hopefully tonight!

It's a balmy 90 with a heat index of 100 here.  And humid as heck!

 It's humid here too.

Humidity is 55, 57 %. A temp of 86, real feel of 99. It'll get worse.

BUT!!!! It isn't freezing! No snow! I'm good with it.

I tried to order a pizza online but they have changed their password requirements & mine no longer is valid so I figured I'd just set up a new account. That didn't work because my email is already registered. Now I'm waiting for an email to reset my password. Seriously who is going to hijack my damn Papa Johns account???

Well, that depends. Do you use a credit or debit card? Or paypal? That makes a difference with all the stealing of costumers info.

Good luck and I hope you get your pizza tonight.

I didn't think about the card info.  You are right.  It was just annoying.  I ordered from a different place.  Then my password rest came in.

Wth? A cop just came to my door wanting to know whose van was parked on the side of my house.
"Probably belongs to the guys staining our fence today"
She says okay and leaves and then I notice that there were two! police cars outside my house. Because a van has been there for a few hours.
They said they would step up the patrols in our area after the neighbor got robbed, but that seems excessive.
Or maybe the neighborhood watch is a little jumpy now?

Until they find out what is causing the hives, try this to soothe the itching:
Run a tub with tepid water, and using a fine sieve, sprinkle in 1cup of colloidal oatmeal. Aveno is a national brand, available in the pharmacy area of your supermarket. Soak & relax for about 10 min, and get out of the tub - CAREFULLY! - because it makes the water super-slick!. PAT yourself dry with a soft towel - don't rub.

This has been around since the 1940's - and it works!

Hope you feel better quickly!

Pssssssssssss, you can make colloidal oatmeal like Aveeno.  My grandmother was a doctor and made it all the time.  All it is is equal parts baking soda and oatmeal.  First put the oatmeal in the food processor and grind it to a powder.  Then mix them equally.

I would do that bath thing if our tub would hold water. Alas, no baths here.

Have not been around poison ivy, oak or sumac. Did not go to work today so it's not that.

Went to regular doctor. Different steroids, dose and length of time. There does not seem to be an obvious reason like food or soap or contact with something new. It could possibly be viral but I have no other symptoms. She drew blood to run an allergy panel. As of now, it is idiopathic. A benedryl stops the reaction. Glad I had pictures to show her from the other day when it was real bad. Weird part is that it starts about 10-15 minutes after I wake up. Guess I'm allergic to waking up.

I just placed a grocery order for Sunday. The website will give you a screen that says did you forget this & show items you have previously bought. Usually it will be something I don't need at the times. But today I totally would have forgot to buy Maggie's canned food if it hadn't reminded me. I will never ignore that screen again.

He should be snowed under by now with that much HydroC already!

YOU definitely need wine.

I sure hope tonight is a good night for him.

I sure hope they find a cause, jlbear. It does seem odd that it starts right after you wake up though.

You can make a paste with the powdered oatmeal and baking soda. Then smooth it on the affected area's for about 10 minutes. It will give some relief at least, since you can't take a bath.

Good luck.
