Yup, only my butt. That's what I get for not looking. I knew it had rained, but I didn't realize it rained an inch and a half! The pavement was dry..

DH called and said there are a lot of big tree branches down all over town. I slept soundly threw the storm, hehehe. I needed the sleep I guess.

Storm came through yesterday and the pool was filthy. It's much better now. Tree guys are supposed to be here soon. Fished two frogs from the skimmers. One was dead. RIP, Kermit.

Morning all! Sunny, hot and humid here today. Wishing rain/sun where it is needed today for everyone else.

Work day for me. Had a good conversation with Bossman's wife. She quit smoking cold turkey on Friday and wanted to know how I did it. One day at time.

Not too much to do here today so I will try to get some schoolwork done too. We shall see.

Morning everyone. I got a letter in the mail last night from the Governor's office. My rights have been restored after 20 years. I will be allowed to vote in the 2016 election. I am very happy about this. I have to get fingerprints done & fill out the voter registration form.

I've eaten there. The food is expensive, they overcharged and did not bring what we ordered and the waitstaff was not very nice to MIL and myself. But they have some good drink ideas. And the desk is great.

Resorts and Harrahs are the two casinos that send me free overnights and other comps. Bossman is a high roller at Resorts so I've gotten other comps there too.

 Yeah, it is expensive for what it is (bar food), but we met a co-worker from NY there.  Bossman said it was a "business meeting" (it wasn't but that's how he justified putting it on the corporate card), so I didn't pay for it. biggrin 

We were at the Tropicana.  That place is huge...

My dd and her husband took me to a french restaurant last night. I had orange duck, french wine and a chocolate crepe for dessert. It was the first time I've ever been to one and had to go all the way to Asia. There is even Krispy creme donuts here too.

You know that storm I slept threw last night?

Our land renter lost seven head of cattle from a lightening strike on our north place.

I can't believe I slept threw that storm!!

There is a lot of damage around. My phone and internet was down due to water in the outside connector box. Takes a heck of a storm to do that.

 How did it take out 7 head?  Did it strike a barn they were in?  That is sad.  Poor cows.

Cattle group together during strong storms. One lightening strike can kill a lot of cattle at once. They were in an open field when they were struck.

Years ago a neighbor lost 20 head along a fence line that got hit by lightening. That's a massive financial loss for the farmer/rancher.

I feel bad for the guy that rents our farms. That is a $14,000. loss for him.

That must have been a heck of a storm, Czech! 

I have been seeing local pictures on facebook of damage. Wow!!! Huge trees down, cars crushed, homes damaged, etc.

I'm thankful no one was injured. 

ETA: 800 lb bales rolled off of fields as well. One photo shows about 50 of those huge bales rolled off a field.
