Project for school needs a title. I usually come up with one after I'm done with the project/paper but professor wants it now. The class is Volunteer Administration, the project is the final "Sustainability Project.
"Sustainability Project", please start formulating a topic. Here are the three things that I will want you to begin addressing in your mind which will be the backbone of this project:
What area of human services do you want to serve? This project should make "sense" to you, and foundationally should be in an area that interests you.
What types of "green"/"sustainable"/"earth friendly" things does this agency do? Is a part of their mission to "do" something "green"? Or, does the agency employ "green" principles in how it conducts business?
How are you integrating volunteers? Are your volunteers those your serving (the human services population you selected above)? Or, do volunteers serve clients in your population while at the same time integrating these "green" principles?
My idea that I sent her is as follows :
I am thinking of doing something with the elderly and housing (either stay at home or community, not nursing or assisted living) and using green or sustainable components so they can continue to live independently.
Her response was this:
Elderly and housing would be great; I also like how you're thinking about the "green" component to the assignment. All I need from you now is an official title for your project, and how volunteers are utilized in your agency.
