Gemma Colley from Leeds, UK went for a spray tan and ended up accidentally turning her baby’s face orange!

She said that she waited a few hours before feeding her baby thinking that it was enough time for it to dry. But obviously it wasn’t.

Gemma shared the picture of her baby on the Facebook page The Unmumsy Mum with this epic picture.

His tan wore off soon after.

She did post new pictures with the tan wore off.

She wrote: ‘Photo evidence that tonight’s feed was much less orange.

‘Thanks for all the positive comments. I’m just another mummy trying to shed light on the adventures and misadventures of being a parent.

The worker at the tanning salon has advised all mothers to extract some milk for their little ones before going in for a tan.

I wonder if the tanning stuff leeches into the breastmilk.

Same here. Even if it doesn't he obviously would have got it in his mouth anyway though. Gross.

I love stories like these because then it makes me not feel so bad for some of the dumb, but innocent, stuff I've done as a parent.

I find it hysterical that with a baby that small, she is concerned about tanning. When my kids were that small, I don't think I even had clean hair. Of course one of mine had colic so that's a whole other level of crazy. But still - I don't know if I admire her or think she sucks as a mom. Where does she get the time?! Seriously?

Yeah MM, I agree. This isn't any parenting fail, just one of those things. And why does she feel the need to look tan? Who cares? When you have a baby there are so many other things you have to care about. Although, tanning may just be her little indulgence, makes her feel good, KWIM?

Same here.  Well, both had reflux, but again, who has time or the energy to care?

I'm curious as to how this made the media.  Who tells everyone about their mistakes?

I think it's kind of funny.

And IMHO, wondering how she has time is kind of like the "must be nice" line.

My question is, if it does that a couple hours later, how does it not ruin your clothes?

lol lily, i thought it was sort of funny, only because i know that the tanning colour will not hurt the baby.

I think it is funny & she originally shared it on a mommy website so I don't think that makes her an attention whore. She shared it with good humor IMHO.

Thanks for all the positive comments. I’m just another mummy trying to shed light on the adventures and misadventures of being a parent.

Good  to know it would not harm the baby, this will  be a funny story for the family. We all had some  kind of goof moment raising  our kids.

I pm'ed her about it! She's on FB. She's super nice. She has a two different parenting blogs and has two boys. This is the younger one. Her husband stayed with the boys so she could get a few minutes of "alone time" tanning. She wasn't attempting to "go viral" with it. She does not appear to be an attention whore. She's a youngerish mom who blogs about life and parenting. Someone found her blog and FB'ed it and it has since gone viral. She has taken it all in stride, laughing about it, and not even getting upset. She said it was just one of those things. One of those parenting moments. She seems really nice.

I was actually really surprised she pm'ed me back. I didn't want to come off as a nut job. I just told her I thought the article was cute and we've all had those moments. The baby's name is Colley. They live in the UK. They are an adorable family I must say.
