Zac Efron and the Rock might be making a Baywatch movie!

Zac Efron is in talks to join Dwayne Johnson in Paramount’s “Baywatch” comedy, which is based on the 1990s TV series.

Seth Gordon will direct the movie. Johnson will also produce the pic along with his partner Dany Garcia through their Seven Bucks Productions banner. Montecito Pictures and Beau Flynn are producing as well.

Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz and Greg Bonnan will exec produce.

While plot details are currently vague, but sources close to the project reveal that the studio is taking a comedic route.

Production is expected to start in the first quarter of 2016. Damian Shannon & Mark Swift wrote the latest draft of the script.

Efron has become a box office draw over the last few years, with 2014’s “Neighbors” grossing more than $140 million in the U.S. and $260 million worldwide.

Efron just wrapped production on the Chernin comedy “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates” opposite Adam Devine and Anna Kendrick. He can be seen next in the Warner Bros. DJ pic “We Are Your Friends.” He is repped by CAA and Alchemy Entertainment.

I saw him in Vegas once. He was pretty funny. I looked at him, not because I recognized him, but because I thought he was handsome. He said, "yeah, it's me" and my friends told me who he was. Bought us a round.

Baywatch was horrible the first time. Why on earth would anyone want to remake it?

Sharknado is fun. It's not high quality anything. It's meant to be tongue in cheek.

Ok FNW, now you have Sharknado 2 and 3 to watch.

The 4th is in the works.

The rock is pretty. I liked watching him wrestle.
