Two former New Jersey day care workers are accused of running a “fight club” for kids between the ages of 4 and 6 years old.
Prosecutors say that 22-year-old Erica Kenny and 28-year-old Chanese White made a dozen children at Lightbridge Academy fight each other on the playground.
Kenny allegedly recorded the fights and shared them on Snapchat. Prosecutors say that one of the women could be heard saying “fight club” in a video.
Thankfully, none of the children were injured.
Lightbridge Academy called this an isolated incident and said the day care is working with authorities on the investigation.
Kenny and White are due in court on Friday. Both women face child abuse charges, and Kenny is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
If convicted, Kenny could face up to five years behind bars, while White could get 18 months in prison.

Was it actually fighting, or just little kids roughhousing? Stupid either way, but if fun was had by all, and nobody got hurt I would be inclined to go easier on them.

WHAT?????? A daycare TEACHING kids to fight? Are you kidding me?

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
All it says is that there was a video of kids fighting on the playground. This sounds like a one time deal for a cute video, not a conspiracy to teach kids to fight.

Multiple VIDEOS. If it was a natural fight between kids and the teachers had nothing to do with it - you really think the prosecutor would be involved. They posted the evidence on the internet!
A DOZEN children.

N.J. day care 'fight club' not the first of its kind in the U.S.
1 / 4
Two employees of the Lightbridge Academy daycare on South Avenue in Cranford are accused instigating and encouraging the children in their care to fight, sending videos of the fights via Snapchat, and referring to the activity as a "fight club." (Tom Haydon | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com)
Erica Kenny, 22, of Cranford and Chanese White, 28, of Roselle both were charged with fourth-degree child abuse for the alleged fights between about a dozen children, ages 4 to 6, at the Lightbridge Academy day care center on South Avenue East, acting Union County Prosecutor Grace Park said Tuesday.
The charges shocked our readers, and yet, such "fight club" incidents have been reported three other times across the country since 2012. It's unclear, however, if they were influenced by each other or some other source.
In 2012, three employees of the Hands of Our Future Daycare in Dover were charged with assault, endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangering and conspiracy after a cell phone video showed them watching and encouraging two 3-year-olds to fight each other, according to NBC 10.com.
In Dec. 2014, officials launched an investigation into the Children's Universe of Lake Conroe day care after a video surfaced of a 4-year-old being "pummeled by a classmate" with an employee encouraging the melee, Click2Houston.com reported.
"When he needed somebody to help him and sit there and protect him, they were exploiting him," the boy's mothers said in the report. "I paid them to take care of my baby and not have him in a toddler 'fight club.'"
The teacher suspected of sending the video worked at the day care for about a year and was fired a week prior to the investigation for an unrelated incident of not properly supervising children, the report says.
Ohio
Two Ohio day care workers were fired after video surfaced of the adults watching two toddlers fight and encouraging the behavior, 10tv.com reported.
According to the report, the video showed a 3-year-old boy and 3-year-old girl hitting each other while two female day care teachers can be heard taunting the children to keep fighting, one yelling "Get him back!" and "Stop crying!"
When asked why she didn't stop the fight, one of the workers said she "didn't want to get injured," the report says.
