Happy Friday yall.

I have bolt in my tire. So I get to go sit in a waiting room while a guy puts a patch in it.

Oh well. Could be worse.

Have a great day yall.

I just had a bolt taken out of my tire on Wed, lol. What a pain! But, a lot cheaper than having to get a new tire.

4 day weekend for me. Today I plan on doing the yardwork. The dog peed on one of my flip flops, second time he did that this week. Apparently I pissed him off!

Or he doesn't like those flip flops.  Your dog may just have better taste than you in shoes.

GAH!

3 tire places and $20 later and I have a patched tire.

Place 1, hour and a half wait before they could even think to get to it.

Place 2, 30 minute wait before they could do it and it wash cash only.

Place 3, literally 2 minutes from my house, pull in, 15 minutes and $20 bucks and done.

I took a chance on the third place cause I thought they were more a body shop. But they were awesome. Big, rough looking guys but sweet as could be.

Ooooo.... amusement parks are fun.

Zoos too.

Helen Ga. is a little town about 2 hours from me in the mountains. It modeled after a German town. German food, crafts, stores. And yes, beer.

Oktoberfest turns the whole town into a beer garden.

Well school is getting out early due to the heat. Which is good because we can leave earlier, but bad because now we have less time to get everything ready. And my husband needs to renew his license today- he got all the way there, across town, before checking what he needs to do that and of course he needs two pieces of mail to verify his address. So he is on his way home and then back. His quick errand is now taking up the whole morning. Geez, husbands....

You might be right, flan.

Our vet has a cat that licks everyone's hands, face, arms or toes if they have lotion on them.

Oddly, being licked by a pet does not bother me.

Had to take Dez to the vet this morning. His ear was bleeding pretty badly. He has a yeast infection & lacerated it by scratching. Sedation, stitches, ear drops & a cone of shame for the small price of $250. I do love my vet though. They will always find a way to work you in if it is important.

After today I have 10 full days off work!!

So, yesterday. my daughter had finally had it with her current employer. She gets all the crap jobs because they know she will do them and she follows through to the end. So yesterday morning, she uploaded her resume to Career Builder.

She got a call a couple of hours later asking her to come in for an interview. at 3:30 the same day...

She went in, spent about 30 minutes there. They called her back today and offered her the job! More money than she is currently making, only 10 minutes from her house. Insurance premiums at roughly half the cost she is paying now, and off on Fridays!!!!!

She will be the office manager for an established pediatric dental office. I am soooooo excited for her!!!! :)

My cat, Sushi the Destroyer, loves licking lotion, hand crème, hair products, etc., off people. Evidently, he licked so much hair putty off my son's head that we had to take him to the vet for a blockage.

I will be following suggestions.  Ours is from the late 70s-early 80s.  DH keeps fixing it.  I keep telling him to buy a new one.

Cute name for a cat.  I'm glad he is doing better and sorry he had to go threw that.  That must have been some tasty hair putty.

ok I think I am in the market for a new lawnmower. It may be too costly to justify fixing mine. Any suggestions?

Ahhh, one that works?

I will be following suggestions.  Ours is from the late 70s-early 80s.  DH keeps fixing it.  I keep telling him to buy a new one.

Wow.  I am impressed.  No wonder your DH won't buy a new one - it would be hard to give up on that.

Yeah, the ones today are full of plastic pieces.  They do not last 20-30 years.  I'm thinking of one with a honda engine or a Toro

When I was at the vet this morning the girls at the desk had a bottle baby kitten that someone had found. She was so tiny & cute but her back legs are turned backwards & have no bones. There is a guy who is going to make her prosthetics ones she gets a little older.
