Really curious, what's involved in winterizing a barn?

Company is gone! Love them but a week is too long. Just got back from zumba. Looks like my gym will be dumping all the group fitness classes. I will be dumping them. I can work out for free at the hospital gym.

Morning all! I hope everyone has a great weekend.

This has been a good and very long week. Internship started on Monday. I have been putting long days working with clients and learning some of the other processes too. They want me to restart the caregivers support group.

I still have to do homework and housework. BFF is coming up from Florida this week to bring three of her kids (18, 16 and 4). The older two are to visit her ex-MIL (their GM) since the end is near. I cannot wait even tho I know she will be busy. But I need to get even more homework done so we can spend time together.

Meds for hives has been approved but I cannot schedule for delivery since the doctors office is closed on Saturdays. It seems like delay after delay. The first person I spoke to at the specialty pharmacy was very unhelpful. The second was sympathetic and very nice and explained they need the doctors office confirmation for delivery availability.

We have sinks and hose hook ups in the barn. Need to bleed the lines and pour antifreeze down the drains.

Corgi needs to have a tooth pulled, but other than that he got a clean bill of health. the vet was quite impressed with his lab results for being 12 years old. We drove thru McDonalds on the way home, I promised him a hash brown if he didn't bite the vet tech while they trimmed his nails.

It's chilly here today. It's getting colder at night too. I want to hold out as long as possible before turning on the heater.

I had lots of plans for today, but DD7 woke up sick again. She's been throwing up all morning. Poor thing.

I hope everyone has a good day!

AWWWd poor kid.  Resist the urge to turn the heat on!  I have to fill my oil for the winter.  1.89/gallon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok sequence of events changed.  Lawn was too wet to mow this morning, so I shampooed the carpet and attempted the chairs.  Carpet looks great, jury is still out on the chairs, they need to dry first.  I guess I may mow my lawn while the dog is at the groomers.

O4, Don't blow any more money gambling!

The fibers must have been treated with some heavy duty stain resister.  This is my white carpet and it looks awesome.  I needed to get this done today since  my new tables arrive Monday!

That's why I want to get rid of what carpet we have left.

Can you believe when I was a teenager I had white carpet?

I did. Kept it nice and white cause I didn't let anyone in my room with shoes on.

When I moved out, the traffic area was only slightly darker than where the furniture sat.

I'll NEVER have white carpet again.

Ok. Been to the dump and the store. Jesse drove.

I just don't know if he will ever be able to get his license. It all seems to overwhelming for him. I'm hoping more practice helps. I'm going to find a driving school for him too.

I hope all of you sickies get better!

We're still running the ac.

I'm dressed in black today to mourn the death of my energy. We ordered pizza last night and even sprung for delivery which we NEVER do. DN and Sparkly came over and we had a blast. Then DH's ex step daughter started talking to me online. She's 19 and needs a sitter for her two year old. I told her I would do it. She's an adorable little girl. I'll be watching her part time.

DH and DD are gone for 3 days and the dog has been a champ while I have been working. To reward him I bought him 4 chicken nuggets at McDonalds. He loves them. He smelled them as I came into the house and ran up and ripped them out of my hands. He has now stashed them all over the house. He hides them so well that he can't get them back out. He hid one in a pile of laundry and sat on top of it and barked until I came into the room to help him pick it back up again - he couldn't reach it. He took one outside and ate it as he sat in the sun and smiled. He is carrying one around the house now looking for a good spot to hide it. Don't know where the fourth one is. I am sure I will find it eventually.

OMG YES!  We've been to her bday parties and stuff.  We're not super close but we have kept in contact with mom.  DH helped raise her and he's a good man.  He would still help her out even though they are not married.  She lives not far from us.  Mom had her gallbladder out a few months ago and we went to visit her in the hospital.  Little Marilynn (her name is Marilynn Monroe!) is like your itty bitty.  She's two and TINY.  She probably wears eighteen month outfits.  And she has a head full of gorgeous blond curls.

LOL We feed our dogs stuff like this too.  We have a corner table and Layla uses it for her dog house.  She fit under it fine when she came home to live with us.  Now she's far too big but she never got the memo.  She takes everything we give her and drags it under there.

Whenever I post on my FB page about feeding the dogs people food my MIL in Spain always gives me a lecture.  She is very involved with pet rescue and constantly telling me the dogs aren't people.

MM's mom is working hard.  She wants to go back to school to become a nurse.  I honestly don't know how she manages.  I don't know how the women HERE manage.  It is $250/week to have a newborn in daycare.  You cannot get it prorated if you are not there every day.  For MM's mom it would be two hundred a week.  She only needs a sitter on M,W,F one week and T,T the next.  The daycare won't prorate.  I agreed to watch her for half of the weekly fee.  I don't know how mom's who are working at just above minimum wage jobs do it.

I love 2YO's they are so cute and the only trouble they in is very innocent.

Well just finished the lawn so after bringing the dog to the groomers, I think I will just chill before I have to go pick him up.

And to be clear, I do have hardwood floors, the white shag is an area rug in the living room and it looks awesome!

The wifi thingy on my laptop decided to stop working last night. Haven't turned it on yet today to see if it decided to work again. Borrowing DH's laptop.

DS is busy finding stuff to draw on.

Turned on the TV this morning to find Legally Blonde on. Love that movie!

I'm gonna have so much fun!  It was really a let down when I found out my friend with the baby wasn't going to go back to work or school.  I was really looking forward to sitting her baby.  She had a little girl named Zoey Jane last Sunday at 11 am.  She was twenty inches long and five pounds and fifteen and a half ounces.  Here's her picture.

What a cutie!

Please tell your friend to make sure the cover and body support are approved by Graco to use with the seat. Using aftermarket products can cause the seat to not do its job properly in a crash. I don't want that lil cutie to get hurt.

I don't do it on a daily basis - he earned this treat. He has been so good while DH has been gone. I can run home and let him out midday to pee but he doesn't get a walk like he is used to. I walk him later after dinner. He has a lot of energy so I know he is bursting by the time I get home. But he makes it. Then last night he cuddled with me when I fell asleep early. I ended up sleeping in and he never woke me up to take him out to pee. He knew I needed to sleep in and he held it longer than he ever has before. He is really in tune like that. So those nuggets were earned fair and square. Lol.

I don't really talk to her anymore.  And as for those feet don't get me started MM.  She bitched and moaned that she wanted her little girl to wear shoes from the day she was born.  I bought her three pairs because, even after telling her that newborns don't wear much but socks, she insisted she wanted shoes.  Now that the baby is born she says her feet are too cute to put shoes on.  She must have gotten 15 pairs of shoes at her shower.  What a waste of money.

All this talk of babies!!!

NAOW, hope your little one is better this afternoon.

It was really cool here this morning. 40 degrees was a shocker.

Last nights football game was cold and rainy. The hot chocolate was great and the honor ceremony for our veterans was really nice. We went to the legion afterwards for coffee and cookies. We had a great time visiting, even if we were wet and cold.

I finally got the pear honey made this morning. Seems my sisters have all spoken for it already. We are swapping apple butter, pear honey and jalapeno jelly. The host for our quilting weekend (sister who can't boil water no) doesn't can, so we are letting her husband (he's a chef) make all the meals for 3 days as payment for our canning skills. biggrin

I think that is fair. wink

I really need to figure out how to take my life back. My job (which I really do love) has kind of taken over. I've barely been here. I've barely been to church. I've got a few friends I work with that I go out to dinner with here and there, but that's about it. I work 50+ hours a week and then usually just come home and go to sleep. I need to find a better balance.

She could make a really cute display of them for her!

That's the only positive thing I could think of. Lol

She has totally lost her mind.  She spent chit loads of money on breast feeding supplies, a pump, and all kinds of things.  Three days in she quit.  I don't even recognize her anymore.  She totally ignores her step kids now.

Could it be possible  that she couldn't  nurse? My dd tried but couldn't  with either baby.

I don't think so.  She's just gone weird.  She was so grounded before she got pregnant and now she's all crazy.  It's like everything she planned on doing she just tossed out the window.  I know she was nursing for a few days but the baby is only six days old and she's already out running around town.  I think it's more for convenience.  Who knows with her.  I honestly don't recognize her anymore.  She dropped out of college, quit work, and made her step kids stop calling her mom because she is no longer their mom.

Those poor kids. She is creating a relationship  of resentment  between  them and their baby sister. I hope their  father is involved  with them.  Maybe she will  come to her senses  after her hormones  settle  down.

Yep. It hit the spot. Just the right balance of heat and flavor.

Plus I have enough for another meal.
