DH found this on our patio this morning. Any idea what it is?

Spoiler

I think it's a Hindu something. It looks Indian to me and I know the swastika is also used in the Hindu religion. A charm maybe? The "strap" is too small to go on my wrist but could fit a child's or small adult's wrist.

It looks like a talisman for good fortune in the Hindu faith.

I Googled 'Hindu talisman for good fortune' and found no matching images. Maybe it's one of a kind?

I've seen them before. It's for "prosperity and luck" in the Hindu faith, and "peace" in the Buddhist faith. Many are handmade and therefore one of a kind.
In any case, it's nothing bad.

I wasn't aware Buddhism also uses the swastika.

I'm finding it odd that there is nothing similar on Google images no matter what search terms I use. I can usually find similar things even if I don't find the exact item.

The Hindu & buddhist symbol of peace is the swastika. Ironic, right? Google Hindu or buddhist symbol of peace and you'll see it.

I did after Welts mentioned it. I knew it was used in the Hindu religion. It is ironic given what the Nazis did to it.

Yes, it does. The swastika is an ancient symbol, from Hindu to Buddhist to Native American.

Have you ever seen anything like this charm (for lack of a better word)?

I'd really love to know where it came from. None of our neighbors are Indian. Of course, the owner may not be Indian but that is where my mind immediately went. Our patio is back far enough from the walkway that it didn't just fall off someone's person. Kids do occasionally sit on our patio wall but it's unlikely it came from any of them.

Do you ever feed crows? They'll often reciprocate by bringing you gifts they "find".
I've found pretty red berries, an earring, keychains, paperclips, etc., on my porch up north.

Either way, it's gorgeous and I'll have to let the office know about it in case anyone comes looking for it.

Nope. We don't feed any critters.

I don't think I've seen any crows in this complex but that's neat that they bring you stuff. Our old complex had some crows. This one, all I see is pigeons. At least the pigeons stay outside. They would come right on in at my parents old complex.

Crows are known for bringing you stuff if you show them kindness. I think it's very cool. Oh, well. It was just a thought, and maybe would have explained the thing.
