If you recently updated your iPhone to the new operating system, you need to check out your settings. If you go to settings, then cellular...scroll down to the very bottom...you will see wifi assist. Turn that shiz OFF!
It will use your data even when you are on wifi, if it thinks the wifi signal "isn't strong enough". So it overrides the wifi and just goes right to using your data without asking. If you don't turn it off you will be burning through data like a crazy person and not know why.
Just a helpful tip I learned and I wanted to pass it along. Some of you may have already figured this out, but I didn't until I read about it and with 4 people on our plan...it would have killed us!

I go through about one minute of data a month. Yep, that's how much I use my phone.

Thanks. We just got a notice that we have used 90% of our data for the month. That has never happened before. Of course, it didn't help that my mom had her wi-fi turned off
We're on T-Mobile. We get great service. The customer service sucks though. We've had so many customer service problems we have a direct number to corporate now. I think all their people are Indian or in India. Either way no one speaks English. We did have five lines for $210/month. DN took her line off to join her b/f's plan. Now we have four lines for $200/month.
