Today is mom's birthday. Not sure what we will do for her just yet.
I got her a turquoise necklace and earring set when we were in the mountains. I'll give her that.
Hope all you who are sick are feeling better.
Have a great day.

Good morning lily, Trudy. Rained like crazy yesterday and lighter rain called for today. We needed the rain so it's all good. Happy birthday to your mom lily and I hope the week moves along more quickly for you Trudy.

Rain here. Hurricane warning, possibly Monday. Expected to get 5-10 inches of rain between now and Sunday. We needed it, but this much at once is not good.
I've seen the weather FNW. It's gonna be a gully washer for sure.

Good morning. I'm tired. DN is driving me nuts. I love her but... DH is dealing with her right now because I don't have it in me.

#1 was sent to school. He won't be riding the bus until he gets his hard cast, so arrangements have been made for school pick-up and drop off. Hopefully he'll do okay. It sounds like he will have lots of help from classmates and of course, his brother.
Morning everyone. You people better not be contagious. It has been a long time since I've been sick & I don't plan on getting sick now. I do hope you all get better quickly.
Dull grey & blah here today with lots of rain the future.

I know, right?! I mean, as much as I love you guys...
Darmit! I broke my rule about ONLY ordering from zulily on weekends...but they had a ring that I liked AND it was in my size. Usually they only carry small sizes.
Well, it's happening. The school has scheduled a meeting to review Bunny's IEP and discuss additional assessments.
The meeting is not for two weeks. I will just try to stay calm until then. I don't know for sure what they want to discuss besides "Bunny's progress and areas where we would like to provide extra support to help Bunny be successful in the classroom."
What do you think that means? This sounds bad to me. How do I keep from being constantly worried for the next two weeks?

You're a mother. You're bound to worry! LOL
You can talk to us, or ask the school if they could schedule the meeting sooner?
NAOW, hope you hear from your doctor soon! Did our suggestions help last night?
FNW, glad you DS is in school and has so much help. It's going to be a long few weeks for him.
Tang, hang in there and try not to worry. I know, easier said than done.
So far this morning, I have packed all my sewing and quilting stuff. Packed sheets and pillows, and a fan. Baked a cherry pie. Made Chex mix. And, I have my clothing for three days laid out on the bed to pack. Plus, three different sweaters. Yeah, I'm cold already and heading into north country.
Now, hopefully, the brakes on my van will be fixed in time for me to travel tomorrow. Yup, the darn things went out on me yesterday. Timing is perfect. NOT!
And for the first time in a very long time, I made a list..

Well Czech, there is never a good time for brakes to go out but before you headed out is better than on your trip. That would be worse. Now you can head off with new brakes.

True. I hope they get repaired in time. Otherwise it will be fun getting my mom in and out of the truck.

Is this a family quilting bee? Do you do them every year?

It sounds like they are planning on doing more to help bunny. I wouldn't worry at all, it sounds like they are being proactive about what they can do for him.

Yes, this is a family quilting bee. We are making mom a queen size quilt from dad's shirts. We will have four sewing machines running, four irons, three cutting tables and enough food to feed an army.
We did a quilting weekend 2 years ago and had a blast. Last year we couldn't do one since one of my sisters was in the midst of moving to another state.
We are also using all of dad's handkerchiefs to make lap quilts. One for each of his five children.
Oh, there will be homemade apple pie shots and lots of wine.

What a wonderful way to remember him! Have a great time with the family.
I'm going between here, FB, and doing some more planning for DS' birthday party. I had an epiphany regarding how to get the look I want for the cake this morning so I jotted it down. I need to start the sketches for everything soon. Also need to make ingredient lists and start work on the shields. I'm making big ones for the kids to play with and little ones for their goodie bags. The swords are going to be easy peasy. It's a toddler party so we're using foam noodles for the swords. The 99cents store had a BOGO sale on them a few weeks ago so we picked up a bunch and will be cutting them into thirds for the swords.
DS is watching Daniel Tiger and munching on popcorn. I'm proud of him. He's keeping his bowl on the table and going over to get bites as he wants them rather than carrying the bowl around with him or dumping it into another container. Maybe this is the beginning of the end of finding random food in any and every toy that has a storage compartment of any sort.
Soup place had construction going on out front (sidewalk was ripped up). They were open but I did not want to deal with that. I had a happy mean from McD's.

I've had a couple coughing fits and a few tissues myself. I tried drinking it out of me the last couple nights without success. Tonight I have a meeting at church, too. Going to be a long night.
The "no" stage has started. So cute right now. I'm sure it will get annoying later. DS will whine the word no rather than say it. "Mine!" has been in full force around here for awhile now.
I have to go to the store on my way home. SAVE me now~
but we are going camping tomorrow for the weekend, just DH our puppies and I, so I need a few things in the camper to eat.
Generally we keep it fully stocked all summer as we camp every weekend, but with next weekend being our last camping trip of the year, I have been letting thing run down.
and since I *forgot* to get something out for supper and DH is on nights and leaves for work by 5:45, I will have to grab him something at the deli :wrings hands:
anyway hoping everyone feels better soon and has a good night~

Finally got a call back from my doc. CT scan was normal, but now my mouth and tongue are tingly and numb as well. I have to go back in tomorrow morning. I cried when she told me they couldn't see me today. Now I have to go through another night. I hope they get it figured out tomorrow. Or as long as I'm hoping, I hope it completely goes away tonight all on its own.
