While I consider the source to be at times highly unethical, even unprofessional, Charles C. Johnson is nevertheless a solid journalist with a nose for digging up stories for his website Gotnews.com
Mr. Johnson broke the news just hours ago regarding details of the shooter, Chris Harper-Mercer.
At long last here is a photo of Chris Harper-Mercer, the 26-year-old shooter in Oregon. He is most certainly a Muslim.
Mercer is related to Laurel Margaret Harper and he once lived in Torrance, California
Obviously, you didn't read the article at the link, or Husker's on the other page.
I read it.
Looking at the source, I don't know whether to believe it.
So your comment that it was based solely on the picture was what? Liberal dismissal again?
Well, the article did refer to "Barack Hussein Obama."
flan
First - that's his name. Get over it. And if Russia did have him on a watch list and we didn't, our government is incompetent as hell.
Second - the article with the link posted above did NOT mention Obama. It was the guy's my space page, with only 2 friends on it - one a known ISIS terrorist. Get over the love fest of the president long enough to open your eyes.
The Oregon shooter had a thin social media profile.
On his myspace page, Chris Harper-Mercer, 26, posted a photograph of himself holding a rifle, alongside images of masked IRA gunmen and an IRA terrorist video. The IRA and Palestinian terrorism have a long history.
He has just two friends — a girl and a jihadi. Check out the terror sympathizer’s page praising: “The brave Mujahideen heroes” “The Mujahideen freedom fighters of Palestine. My brothers and sisters keep on doing your thing. Allahu Akbar.” “my brave soldiers keep on fighting for the liberation of Palestine against Israel. f*ck Israel. Kill the Jews. jews are the only infidels.” “The Quran ….. holy book of muslims”
The media has avoided mentioning this at all.
There is not much else — a profile from a “long dormant” dating site and a couple of random posts, thant frankly give little to no insight into motive.

Yes, that was the link I meant to post but couldn't find. When the media acts in curious ways, there is usually a reason why. The media wants to SPIN everything to fit their agenda. The Obama administration and liberal Dems have been very reluctant to address Islamic terrorism or even say the word terrorist. Thus the terms "man caused disaster" and other terms from the Obama administration. I find it very curious that there isn't a greater electronic fingerprint for him. I think the FBI came in quickly and shut down the Police from releasing any info until they can spin the facts to their agenda. Funny but the first thing I heard about him was that he had "Conservative Republican" on his website. They are quick to look for anything to support a shooter being right wing. They tried to blame Sarah Palin for her "cross hairs" comment in the Gabby Giffords shooter and on and on.
So, pay attention, Obama does NOTHING without a political agenda.
Kind of like George Zimmerman being labeled a "WHITE Hispanic" and on and on. This isnt' the first time and certainly not the last that the media tries to spin every case to fit their agenda. Those students are Christian Martyrs and this is Islamic Jihad in our own backyard.
So you mean that Christians were killed because they were Christian on American soil?
But that can't be.
This is America.
Ok. So my question is, now that it HAS happened right here in the good Ole U.S.A., can we stop pretending that persecution isn't real?
And now that it has, why on earth are there not all kinds of heck being raised over it?

Because in America Christians are the only ones you're allowed to persecute. For all other religions you can't even say anything bad about them without an uproar but Christian bashing is the main goal of the liberal news media and all those who are working behind the scenes to make this an atheist country.

First, his parents are both white. Second, this was terrorism regardless of his religious affiliation or nationality.
Does it make you feel better to assign blame to a Muslim? Does that change anything? Are you going to support banning Muslims from owning firearms since you can't abide the thought of banning a white man from owning guns?
The blatant racism is disgusting but the same old song and dance is visible. Conflate the issues, blame liberals, and try to find anything to blame but the guns.

So it was the guns fault? That is the most ridiculous post I've seen here and there have been many.

Racism? No.
Muslim/Islam is a region. Not a race.
It doesn't matter what race he is.
He killed Christians in the name of islam.
Don't try to twist the facts with some made up issue.

Ok. I'm gonna say it.
This is probably the stupidest thing I have ever read/heard.
The guns are inanimate objects.
Guns will NEVER act on their own.
The problem is soft targets.
The problem is trying to take guns from LAW ABIDING citizens.
Because believe me, the criminals don't give two shakes of a rat's butt about gun laws or restrictions.
The answer is to get our collective heads out of our collective butts and stop allowing terrorists to do what ever, where ever.

It changes a LOT.
If we refuse to identify our enemy, how can we fight our enemy?
It's NOT "racism" when it's true. You can't even state a FACT without choking on it with your bullsh!t, PC mentality.

Does it make you feel better to call people racists for calling out the 2 million radical Muslims in the world that want us dead? What should we do? Nothing? Just continue to be sitting ducks for people that excel in killing innocents and claiming it is for their Allah? Or how about the 5 million Muslims who sit back and do nothing and allow it to happen?
And Muslim is not a race. At least get your insults right.

And he was white according to you - I don't see where anyone else discussed his race. So where's the racism? Oh yes - HE was racist. And hated Christians, too.
But I'm sure ranting at us makes you feel better about something.

I don't care whether or not he was black or white. That's not the issue. The issue was whether or not this attack was in any way inspired or associated with radical Islam--and so far, it appears it is even if most of the media chokes on those words.
Whether he was technically a Muslim or not isn't really the issue, either. It certainly appears he was sympathetic to the cause of radical Islam, and this attack was inspired by such, even if he wasn't a member.

I just read that his mother is black. Waiting for verification, but the LA Times said she is black...
Well, that's going to be really sad, b/c apparently some of his online rants were racist against blacks. How the heck is that respectful of his mother?
