I am up and ready for work. I need to go in early to make sure my boss remembers his 8:00 conference call. And I'm ready even earlier than I need to be. Oh well, plenty to do.

My week is going to be crazy. Good luck to everyone else 😀😀

Morning. Again.

Man. Last night was rough.

Oh well.

Today is Aaron's birthday. He is 17 today. He requested Fuji's for his birthday dinner. He is my youngest. Wow. I'm getting old.

Ugh, that's no fun. Hope you get to feeling better. Probably an inner ear infection or something.

I got a LOT done this weekend! I'm a happy camper. Since June, I have painted 2 rooms, put up new window treatments and assorted other odd jobs. Heading out for work now. Tonight DD has a basketball game that they should win handily. They are 9-2 so far.

I am sitting in the bank parking lot waiting for them to open so I can get my card straightened out.

Got the new one Friday. But when I activated it, my purchase limit was one dollar. Again.

I'm about to get an attitude on these people.

My weekend was a little chaotic. I finally met my two new doggie roommates. The older one is simply beautiful & very well behaved. The 9 month old "puppy" not so much. She is like a herd of elephants thundering around. She is friendly in a knock you on your ass way. We are all adjusting to the new living arrangements.

Did we have a good time? No. We had a FABULOUS time!!!

Mom's quilt is done!

Way to much food!

The hot apple pie shots were so relaxing! biggrin

Lots of laughter, a few tears, and wonderful new memories were made. Yes, dad felt like he was with us. We are positive he kept hiding finished blocks..

We are exhausted.

The older dog grew up with cats & wanted to play with Maggie.  Maggie stared her down & that was the end of that.

Dez who was best friends with my dog is the surprising one.  He is totally skittish which I didn't expect.  I'm not sure it is so much "dogs" as it is the thumping around in the basement.

I don't think Onyx even noticed yet.  She lives on my bed up on the third floor & I don't think she can hear them up there.  She is skittish by nature but hasn't acted any differently than usual.

I think it will sort itself out shortly.

It sounds like it will be okay.

It's just temporary, right?

About the time they get used to each other, the dogs will probably move out.wink

It is supposed to be very temporary, but the last one went 2 years.  He's a really good kid.  My friend did a good job raising him.  So I am sure everything will fall into place.

NJN,

As soon as I finish Insurgent (which is actually boring me), I'll probably start watching Chappie.

I didn't like Insurgent. Only watched it because DH wanted to. I couldn't understand the accents in Chappie so I didn't get into like I thought I would.

Good luck, bonny! You can do it! I always ask myself...how many kids go off to college drinking from a bottle. (or wearing a diaper, or whatever phase my kids are going through at the time).

Happy birthday, A! What's a Fuji?

Glad you had a good time, Czech!

Cute pic, NJN!

Good luck with the dog/cat situation, Lexxy.

Don't fall, trudy!

Took #1 to the ortho dr today. They aren't putting a hard cast on for a couple weeks. The bones are aligned good and the splint is tight so they want to keep it on for a couple more weeks. Just go every week for x-rays.

FNW it sounds like it's healing well. My son broke his arm at 18 months but he broke both bones and they had to pin it back together. He still has tiny scars.

Happy wet Monday to all, woke up to cold and dreary and cold rain. felt bummed

until I was looking at my FB and one of those memories things popped up from 2 years ago and we had 4 foot of snow today! sheesh, what's a little rain LOL

Sounds like everyone had nice weekends!

We had a good one, and camped at the lake all by ourselves LOL, it was awesome and very relaxing, watched old time TV on a local channel from SD we got there and went and saw my MIL in the nursing home. She is at the end of long term dementia and it is so terribly hard to see her and know she has no idea we are there as she generally just sleeps. My DH was so sad, as was I.

Now back to work Monday and just can't get my groove into place LOL

 Thanks!

Fuji's is a Japanese habachi place.

They do the little show while making your food.

He loves it. It's a once a year thing.

Sounds like #1 is doing well. I remember the cast. If it starts itching, Gold Bond helped.

Our Japanese place here is called Osaka's. It is always my choice too. It is sort of pricey but on special occasions that is ok. The food is so good. We noticed last time that they upped the amount of rice served & cut back on the veggies. I would rather they had just increased the price a little. I love their veggies.

Yeah it is pricy.

Oh, we took the boys to one of those hibachi places last year. They loved it. It's fun, but I'd rather go to a couple places nearby that are more authentic.

That's about as authentic as we have here.

I'm just glad it isn't mexican he wanted. That stuff haunts me for days.
