Just happened to run across this in the Obits and thought it was the first time I have seen such a sentiment....  Do you think it was meant as a joke?  

 

Maydell Matilda (Crawford) Rucker was reunited with her partner in crime, Paul Rucker, on Sept. 12, 2015, after 39 years of being apart.

Definitely not a joke or mean-spirited, but a tribute to a what was probably a great love story, with a bit of humor that everyone who knew the couple would understand.  I would hazard a guess that humor was very much a part of this couple's life while alive.  I find it rather endearing.  smile
