No one is perfect but nothing wrong is having high standards when dating. We all have grumpy moments but that is different then openly making fun of someone. I told my dd and son to observe how their date treats the server in a restaurant. do they talk to them like they are beneath them. Still them on tips. If they treat people like they are lower then them I believe they will treat their spouse the same way.
I like the part about inserting your own name. Seeing how you stack up yourself.
Seems like a good self assessment tool.

I think that I am envious and irritable and even resentful at times. I imagine most people who know me would not agree with that assessment.
Everyone is their own harshest critic, etc.

I do think it is something to aspire too. Like Lily said, a good form of self assessment. Something to keep one's self in check with. I like the idea of inserting the name of a new crush or romantic interest too. Of course very few people are going to match up, but it does provide something to think about.
