OK - who has an awesome recipe for this?  I want old-fashioned - no marshmallows or fluff as an ingredient.  There are so many out there, and I want the soft melt in your mouth fudge, not crumbly.

Anybody got one?

It was.

I will try to find it.

She had very few recipes written down.

But we have a few.

It has cocoa powder, cream and peanut butter. That's all I can remember.

And she cooked it in a skillet on the stove.

It melted almost instantly in your mouth.

I don't have the recipe here.

I will ask my aunts and cousins if they have it.

I'm sorry.

Because it's difficult to find marshmallows made without genetically modified corn syrup.

 Make your own.

I never have but I hear they are so much better.

It doesn't look complicated. Just need the time.

I want to spend my time making fudge, not marshmallows.

Well, yeah.

But I mean another time.

If you really like marshmallows.

I made the kind last weekend where you mix a can of sweetened condensed milk and 3 cups of chocolate chips and a dash of salt, microwave 5 minutes til chips are melted and add vanilla and nuts if wanted, mix in and microwave 4-5 more minutes
I lines a baking pan with foil and sprayed butter pam on it and spread fudge in it and cooled.
Lift it out of pan and use long knife to cut into square sizes you want.

We made some with half semi sweet and half milk chocolate chips

some with milk chocolate and reeses peanut butter chips and some with chocolate and butterscotch

they all turned out really good and it was so easy! you can make it on stove too.

My family and friends love fudge and I hate standing over the stove mixing and watching candy thermometer....and hoping I did it all correct so it sets up and is not too hard or too runny.

They all turned out perfect and it was a breeze to make and very little cleanup!!!
I will be making again

If GMO's are what concern you, this recipe is chock full of GMO ingredients. No offense lady, it looks delicious. I just want LL to know that several ingredients here will have GMO's unless she specifically shop for items without them. I am noticing the sugar, milk, corn syrup, peanut butter, and margarine.

Oh, I know.  And I don't use margarine - only butter.  The corn syrup would be the most difficult - but I need to order some organic, anyway.  I'm getting some European cocoa for holiday baking.  We've started making all our own sweets so I can source non-GMO ingredients.

However - cane sugar is not an issue, and pure peanut butter is not an issue.  We use organic milk - so all good.

LL, I will check my grandma's cookbook sometime today. It dates back to 1938.

I'll get back to you. :)
