I knew they did everything for publicity but I did not see this coming, especially saying she should issue the licenses.

 

Phelps-Roper said Monday that divorce and remarriage is equivalent to living in adultery and that Davis’ first marriage is her only legitimate union. If Davis has truly come to Christ, she would divorce her current husband and put her marriages in the past, Phelps-Roper said.

In the meantime, she argued that Davis is obligated to follow the law and issue licenses because “God hates oath breakers just like he hates adultery and he hates same-sex marriage.” Phelps-Roper said Davis should instead protest same-sex marriage on her own time.

I don't even know how to untangle that crazy logic.

I guess she is sinning by not issuing the license so she should do her job & let the sin fall on the same sex couple. Oh and get a divorce!

 Well according to another article they blame gay marriage on divorces (I imagine not just hers).

She won't. And people will be stupid enough to vote for her. Just today Lerner was found innocent of any wrong doing in the IRS scandal. DH said she would go to jail. I said they'd just shuffle it to the back burner until the next scandal comes along and then off she'd go. I guess I was right. I feel the same way about Hillary. She's not going to get in any trouble. They'll just all bluster and blow until the next scandal and then this one will be tossed on the back burner and silently sent on it's way.

This thread took a strange turn.

I think it's hilarious that Westboro is protesting her. Those people be krazy!

We tried the "Black Man for President" thing, shouldn't we go ahead and get the "Woman for President" thing out of the way? It's not like the average voter is going to bother voting for a qualified candidate anyway.
