TOTALLY GEEKED!

Morning all! We are up early for us on a Saturday.

Eye exams for both then home to get ready for a Halloween party that benefits Autism Speaks.

Maybe some errands in there too.

Amazing what a good night's sleep can do. I feel great!

Going over the mountain today. Helen, Dalonhnga, and Elijay.

Gonna have some food, see the sights and maybe see niece and nephew.

 In October, our zoo does "Zoo Boo." Since this is the last weekend, it will likely be crazy crowded.

Lazy day. Cloudy and rainy. Planning on just doing laundry and watching old movies.

I was up early. A whole week of getting up god awful early has made my system reset. It poured down rain all day yesterday, last night, and today. Carlee has a violent fear of the rain so it was a long night with her. I so want to go shopping for my SS but we're having some issues with the babysitting payment. I think my days of babysitting may be coming to an end.

Slept in this morning. It was glorious.

DD is off taking the ACT - she should be done any time now.

DH did the dishes and a load of towels. 💕

Looks like I will have to contribute in some way today.

Went in the basement to look for last year's Halloween mask, smelled the stench. Something had fallen in the freezer and the door was open. Everything inside was spoiled. Probably $200-$300 worth of meat, fish, shrimp. And a bag of blueberries which leaked all over and made cleanup lovely.

What a mess. And it's Saturday. What a waste for the day, and all that money.  

Do we have any posters in Mexico? If so, I hope they're safe from Hurricane Patricia.

 I really do.  And we're watching her for next to nothing.  But her mom keeps coming up with reasons not to pay.  DH is dealing with her since she's his ex step daughter.  But she's one of these people who gets their check and it's blown before bills are paid.

 Rule number one of being broke: get paid, and immediately pay all the bills before you do anything else. She will learn.

 DH had a long talk with her.  She said they're trying to move out of her b/f's parent's house and into their own house.  They found one in the ghetto.  Literally.  He said he didn't care where she lived she needed to pay up.  He told her there was no one else who would watch her child that had as much medical training as the two of us and give her the love and attention she was getting for  next to nothing.  She needs to realize that too.

What about our Texans? Any word on the storm there?

 Don't let it go on.  You are giving her a huge break as it is.  Although, you know that. If she can't afford to pay for cheap babysitting, how is she going to afford rent?

 Yeah she does.  She had her daughter at 17 and is very immature.  Of course, look at who her mom is.  Not a shining example of how to parent there.

 You lazy Bum Geek!  I am jealous!   Ok done with yard work and pretty much my regular work, taking the dog for a walk.  Then find something for dinner, pull up a fire and movie!  Oh I do have some decluttering to do, won't take long.  It's been a long productive day!

We ended up going to an apple orchard, and the rain started just as we were leaving.

 Whoa! Don't overdo it!

Ha! I just scored a cord and 1/3 of seasoned firewood. No one has any wood, the power companies are buying it all up. Supposed to be delivered tomorrow morning. I hope it is. Went to the ATM and was able to take out $500, I thought there was a limit of $250. Anyway I don't need that much wood but he has it loaded for someone else. the other person has been a no show. So the guy is coming tomorrow am and my neighbors are on board with buying from me what I don't need.

Even if my neighbors back out, I will have enough wood for next year. My only issue now is I have two 8X6 log racks which won't be enough for the wood. Will have to fashion a couple of temp log racks.
