Has anyone heard of this type of animal?  It's a cross between a coyote and wolf.  They are large like a wolf and as dangerous as a coyote.  Apparently they have been spotted near my neighborhood. A parent in my town posted on Facebook about seeing them There is a youtube documentary, link below.

I've never heard of them, IKWTDS.

They sound scary.

Is it fair to think that standard precautions would be appropriate if / when these predators might be around?

What precautions do you take in your area to protect yourself and your child?

The largest non-human predator in my area is a raccoon.

Yes.

Jesse has told me all about them.

They are able to take down a deer alone, they hunt in packs and are showing no fear of humans.

We have coyotes and wolves. So I can imagine how scary these coy wolf hybrids would be.
