Ground turkey to be exact.  Does anyone use it and have any good recipes.  I really don't want to hear that it tastes just like ground beef because, to me, I can totally tell the difference.  I don't dislike it but I just don't think it tastes like ground beef.  We bought some other meat at the grocery store and they were giving away a free pound of ground turkey if you bought it.  So basically I'm looking for input on how to cook it.

Turkey is a lot like chicken in that you can choose the flavor you want it to have.

A simple basic recipe is minced onions, garlic salt and pepper.

You will need an egg to bind.

I mash it all together and make patties.

It's good as taco meat.

It makes better white chili than chicken.

It's really versatile.

What ever you would do with any ground meat, you can do with turkey.

I was thinking meatballs in a wine cream sauce over pasta.

I use turkey for tacos. The taco seasoning helps flavor it well.

I've never tried it. Even with the skinnytaste recipes I make, I stick with 96% ground beef. I just can't get into this whole ground turkey kick.

I bought turkey meatballs before but they were pre made and on sale. They were really good. But like I said they were pre made and seasoned. I'm not a big ground turkey fan. I love turkey any other way but not ground. I'm going to try to figure out what to make with it. I saw a meatloaf recipe I might try.

I like meatballs, with onions and sage. And you can make a white country gravy if you want. I use it in a lot of the same dished as ground beef, only use "Thanksgiving" seasonings.

I bet it makes a good pot pie or like a casserole using stuffing, served with cranberry sauce.

Dad, Aaron and I are adventure eaters.

Ground turkey is excellent for meatloaf.

I actually saw a recipe that was called a Thanksgiving Burger.  It looked good.  You used stuffing to mix in with the turkey and make patties.  Then you topped them with some cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes.  Not sure if my family would go for that though!

I use ground turkey like I use ground beef. Meatballs, meatloaf, burgers, tacos, lasagna, etc. I've also used it for stuffed peppers and in chili.

My two favorite seasonings are garlic powder and onion powder so those usually make it into whatever I'm cooking.

Well, I have good ideas now! I don't know when I'll be making it. We have some casserole left and I made chicken and dumplings today. So we have leftovers. I also found some gluten free lasagna noodles and want to try crock pot lasagna. I feel like a weirdo. Most people sit around and wonder, "What will I make tonight." I sit around and wonder, "Which of these bazillion recipes should I try tonight?"

I use ground turkey instead of beef. I use it in meatloaf, spaghetti sauce, and tacos especially.
If you want it to taste more like beef, add some beef bouillon.

I like ground turkey because it's healthier than beef, and I can't digest beef.

I use it however I would use ground beef - in meatballs, turkey burgers, sautéed and added to red sauce, etc.

It does need more seasoning because the flavor is a lot milder than beef.
