A forth attack is now being reported.

3 venues, police and responders are stretched so thin they are asking residents to open their doors to people on the street.

This is what I see happening here.

Can you imagine how quickly chaos would ensue in your closest city had multiple, coordinated attacks?

For FRance it will be unless other countries run to their rescue. When will countries learn you can not let just anyone, especially those from known terrorists countries just walk over your border. They closed down the borders, in and out. The airports, at least at Logan, have several flights cancelled. I bet this will spread to other international airports in Europe. They won't want passengers stuck in their country.

This is awful. We have friends who are missionaries living in Paris. They are thankfully safe.
I hope they get everything under control quickly.

140 dead in Paris attacks.

118 were in the concert hall where an American band was playing.

I'm glad it didn't happen, but I am curious why the bombers outside the stadium, didn't go inside.

Geraldo's daughter was at the soccer game when the attack happened outside the stadium. She was never a hostage. She and her friend, had to walk four miles to their apartment. But she was safe.

Sorry, NJN, but I watched him reporting on his own daughters drama on Fox as it was happening.

And the French president was attending that game. I'm sure security didn't stop when the game started. The stadium was at full capacity with a large crowd outside the gates. If they two had made it past security, many more would have been killed.

He said security was already higher than usual because of bomb threats against the German team earlier this week.

But no one is talking about that.

Just thinking about around here.

I got Atlanta, major airport, stadiums, malls, the CDC, major tourist attractions and other big places to hit just 2 hours south of me.

I got Chattanooga with a somewhat big airport, major tourist attractions, the Tennessee river and other big places about 30 minutes north of me.

About 2 hours passed that is Knoxville.

And I-75 connects them all just about 6 minutes from my house.

If there were multiple attacks in each city, we would be SOL for sure.

First, I cannot believe that an adult would come on this thread primarily to snark on another. Of all the threads to be a petulant child on and it's this one. Grow up. Seriously, Flan. Hundreds of people lost their lives and all you care about is being condescending to Lily just because you don't like her. Lily is NOT the only one on this thread who is saying that this is only the beginning but she is the only one you have snarked on. Again, grow up.

Secondly, I'm in agreement with those who say that this is only the beginning. I would not doubt that a third world war is coming. The terrorists are becoming more and more brazen because the countries they are infiltrating are refusing to stand up and say no more. Maybe this attack in France will be the catalyst to change that.

A question though. Why would declaring martial law means the election is off? I don't understand what exactly martial law so if someone could dispel my ignorance, that'd be awesome.
