we haven't watched commercial television in ten or fifteen years--we don't have cable, direct tv, etc.--garbage for the most part

Sitcoms.  I like some humor, but not "stupid" humor.  I find sitcoms totally non-entertaining.  I do not watch any of them.  (Even some cartoons are a lot more entertaining than sitcoms).

The only "reality" shows I watch regularly when there are new episodes airing (I usually do not watch repeats unless there is nothing else on) are "Survivorman", "The Incredible Dr. Pol" and "Call Of The Wildman."  It is more about who they are as people that keeps me watching.

The show I could not stand because it was so stupid was Raising Hope.  I've never watched any of the Bachelor shows but they look pretty mind numbing.

Pretty much anything "reality".

The shows like AFV, Jackass or any other show where people get hurt or hurt themselves on purpose.

It's been a long time since I watched kid's tv. We didn't do a whole lot of tv when they were little.

But yes, Teletubbies was, like I said, brain rot.

My kids did not like Barney, thank God.

I'm sure I will think of others.

Recently "The Millers" was a dumb show that I gave a chance but gave up after a few episodes.

I don't really know of any stupid TV shows that I have seen and verified their stupidity. But some that I have not watched just because their premise sounds stupid are:

Anything Kardashian or Jenner.
Dancing with the Stars.
The Real Housewives of (anywhere).
Next Top Model.
American Idol.

Maybe I'm missing something by not watching them, maybe I'm not. I don't know. But I fill those hours with other pursuits I know I like so I'm happy with my choice.
