Great information.

Never been gun shopping.

Just used what we have.

I dont like the glock style. i like revolvers. But they are slimmer and easier to carry.

Used both. Have problems with either.

The weight is does make a difference.

DS gave me another fun safety lesson on Thanksgiving, I have a glock. I really need to sign up for lessons. I've been shooting/practice a few times, just not comfortable enough yet.

Find a firing range. They often give lessons.

We have an indoor one in town. Perfect for the weekend during the winter.

You should do it.

It's very cathartic.

am not a glock fan myself, though they make very good weapons--got my lady a browning that is a good fit for her hands, easy to control and she can shoot accurately--practice is extremely important--the more practice you have the more likely you'll use the weapon properly if you ever need to do so--also, would take lessons in point shooting as it broadens your focus in the moment from the sights to the target itself--much more effective for self-defense/intervention situations

My son bought me my glock.  I can see how beneficial a smaller gun would be.  I think once I get used to this one, I look into a concealed weapons permit and get one for the purse.
