that's one helluva presumptuous statement--depending on what era you're referencing, before the civil rights movement in the early 60's, the majority of cops EVERYWHERE were white--whether they " usually get off scott free " is rather open to debate

as referenced by another poster, the reason that the majority of those incarcerated ( and likely to be incarcerated ) are black ( or " of color " whatever the hell that means ) is that blacks or " people of color " commit a disproportionate amount of ALL violent/serious crimes and have for decades as is borne out by nearly any set of research/statistics on the matter

You know, as a teen I can only think of one teacher that was even sex worthy. He was young and hip. All the others were old and wrinkly.

Well, in other news - a black man shot a black unarmed teen dead for robbing his car. No charges. Why wasn't that protested?

That definitely doesn't absolve the violence that we see in predominantly black communities. Those guys need to be locked up in an effort to keep people from being hurt/robbed/raped etc. It doesn't matter to me if that means the prison population consists of mostly one skin color.

But, it is pretty damn unfair if a person gets more time for the same crime that another person has also committed, just because they are black. That needs to stop.

It's the same thing when a female teacher messes with a student she gets less punishment than a male teacher doing the same thing. Not right.
