Well come on! I'm getting a flour sifter today! And maybe some more cast iron. DH gave me permission. I love the kitchen score. I might find some other little doodads for stocking stuffers too. They have so much there. Gotta run to Lane Bryant too. Check out what they have there. And my fav store Burke's. I'm hoping to find some good stuff there. Sometimes they have tons of stuff and other times they don't.

DH, DS, G, and I went on a spur of the moment drive yesterday to see a house that syncs their lights to Christmas music. DS absolutely loved it and was dancing along with the music at some parts. We also went to Glendale Glitters while we were in that area. DS loved that too and ran from tree to tree. He was pissed when it was time to leave.

One of my favorite pics from last night. I loved the tree with the snowflakes on it.

There's a house on a farm in West Phoenix that puts up a lot of cartoon scenes decked out with Christmas lights. It's a really, really cool display but I can't remember one of the cross streets and I can't find it via Google. There's lots of houses listed but not this one. I know I have the cross streets written down somewhere and will have to find it.

It's a gorgeous display. They do it each year and they also do a festival at some point during the season that has activities and such for the kids. I think the festival day already passed but not sure.

Oh, you'll love this. The park that pic is from has a library in the center of it.

Chef, are you in So Cal? If so, have you been to Hastings Ranch? We used to go there every year as a kid to see all the houses lit up. They start middle of December.

Thank you for the anniversary wishes... Chef love those pictures and how blessed to see it threw a childes eyes. Czech hope you and everybody have a great week and weekend. I think I would be nervous to have a vulture staring at me threw the window. He is probably wondering what I taste like.

Nope. I live in AZ.

I grew up in SoCal. Never went to Hastings Ranch. But, there's 2 houses in Costa Mesa that I love. One goes all out for Christmas and the other goes all out for Halloween.

The Christmas house is Peanuts-themed and has a Santa's Village. On the weekends, they passed out hot chocolate and Santa would be there passing out candy canes.

The Halloween house had all sorts of cool stuff and varied somewhat year to year. I loved the witch in the toilet and Dracula's coffin. Some nights, they'd have someone playing Dracula and he'd pop out of the coffin at random times.

DH finally posted the pic of the Reese's cheesecake I made for Thanksgiving. I can't believe I managed to free-hand a turkey and it actually resembled a turkey.

I have a bird that keeps following me around the house. He's not in the house, but he goes from window to window, wherever I am, and pecks at the glass and flutters about. I'll try to get a pic next time he comes a tapping.

It's rich. I don't like cheesecake but I do like the brownie crust.

MIL is diabetic and said it'll take her a week to work off the sugar from the cheesecake.

I made chili yesterday. DS has gone through 2 refills of his bowl so far for lunch today. He's starting to play with his food though so I'm guessing he's about done.

I'm a SAHM and he's pretty much my life. It's so much fun seeing his reactions to new stuff. Like last night. Sure, all the lights were awesome for me too. But, can you imagine how magical and huge the display must've been for him? All those lighted trees towering over him. All the colors. Some of the lights changed colors and he would stare at them saying 'wow!' over and over. He touched all the lights he could reach and looked at them so intently. I wish I knew what was going through his head. One tree had lights almost as big as his hand. He held a bulb for a good while just looking at it sitting in his hand.
