No, I have never heard of it. I use the same max factor base I've used for 30 years. But I use less of it and only in my t-zone. Maybelline for my eyes and CG mascara. MAC liner.

I love make up. But it just doesn't look right any more when I wear it.
I can spend copious amounts of time in the make up aisles.
Never had a problem wearing any of the make up out there.
Was wondering if anyone could tell me their experience with this brand who wasn't trying to sell it.

Makeup has been my BFF since I was 16. I've modified my "look" over the years to keep up with trend and age, but I still wouldn't leave the house without it. But I know others that would look like clowns if they wore it. Each person is different. I wish I were a natural beauty, but alas, I'm not.
I usually just wear a tinted moisturizer and a light lipstick. Wearing a surgical mask all day just rubs everything off anyways. If i'm going somewhere I'll wear a little bit more makeup.
I've never heard of it. But then, I don't wear makeup. I've tried a little here and there over the years, but it's just not for me. I have really sensitive skin, so I need to be careful. Currently I use Rodan & Fields for sensitive skin program. It makes my skin so soft and smooth, no need to even think about makeup. I love it.
Like LL said it's spelled stupidly. Like welts said it's over priced and non cruelty free. Like Bonny said it's a HUGE MLM scheme. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. But then, I'm beautiful without make up.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question what is MLM?

Multi Level Marketing. A nice word for a pyramid scheme where you get sucked in and end up owing them your life.

Like Mary Kay
Pretty much. My mom sold Mary Kay when I was a little girl. She paid us a penny for each label with her name and number that we put on each and every bottle or box or jar of something. I made a good amount of money back then. It was easy work.

No. Not every product is an MLM. Most products companies make and then ship to a store to sell. They don't sell their product out of their warehouse for obvious reasons. The MLM scheme is devised so that a person is rewarded for getting new people to join and sell. If I get money for each person who I talk into selling a product I can up my profits greatly. Then you're basically giving me a commission off what you're selling. The more people I talk into selling a product the more commission I make. Eventually I don't have to sell as much myself. I can just reap the profits of other people selling.
Some people really like this. Like Mary Kay they really believe in their product and are willing to invest the required time into it. You don't ever get rich off an MLM product without putting in huge amounts of time and effort. I know a few women who do MLM products part time to earn spending money. They usually have small kids and work around them. They certainly don't make a living at it and could not support themselves on it but for a hobby to make a few bucks they like it.
There are some really good MLM's out there like Avon and Mary Kay. Then there are others that aren't worth the carton the product is shipped in. It's important to know the difference if you're going to sell the product. If I were going going to sell an MLM (Strictly hypothetically speaking here.) I would go with an established one. Again, like Mary Kay or Avon. Those names sell themselves.

Not really. Safeway doesn't ask me to go out and sell their products to my friends. Or try and recruit my friends to sell their products under me
My old job didn't make me buy their product first and then make me sell it. Or charge me to attend trainings.
You were typing at the same time as me! Jinx.

MLms put more focus on recruiting more people to sell under you than actually selling priduct. Which is bizarre because the more people who start selling the smaller market of customers you have.

Yes. Exactly!

Lol. And a lot of women kid themselves about how much they actually make. They did a special on Mary Kay recently and the women could tell you their 'sales' but not how much was actually profit (because they have to purchase everything themselves first). Which is telling, imo. How many people don't know how much money they make?

I know a lot of people who sell Avon who complain about not making a lot of money. They have to purchase EVERYTHING. And by everything I mean everything. They have to buy each and every single little monthly catalog that comes out that they hand out. I don't know how much they are but even at a small price they start adding up. Especially if someone takes one just to look without any intention to buy. And all those "free" samples? Your Avon rep has to pay for each and every one of them. Then there's the fact that if someone doesn't pay for their item they are stuck with items they have paid for out of their own pocket. A lot of reps make you pay upfront now because of this. They'll order stuff and then it comes in and the person is broke or changes their mind. So yeah, you can actually end up losing a lot of money.

Was that the exposé that they showed on the air? Where women were willing to do anything to bust into the top echelons and win a pink car?
Evidently, they were buying tons of their own products and going into hock, stockpiling vast amounts of makeup they couldn't sell?
How so? If i build a widget to sell, then I want to sell as many as possible. Yes, then i may hire and recruit a sales force. But, the FOCUS is the selling of those widgets. For MLM's the FOCUS is the recruitment of sales people. If they are more concerned about that the selling product, then you know it's an MLM. And, i have friends who were into all kinds of MLM. It really strained our friendship. They became very annoying and aggressive trying to hawk their crap. They ruined a lot of relationships with friends and family because you start viewing your friends and family as $$ instead of friends and family. And, then you go out with them or to parties and that is literally all they talk about 24/7. I run from those people like the plague. Now, Avon, they weren't like that. They would just drop a catalog in the lunch room and they didn't bug you or shove it in your face. But, i have yet to see any of them offer anything better or at a better price than i get online or at the store. No thanks.
Avon, Mary Kay, Amway. All those that rely on selling something from home are generally that MLM kind of thing.

I remember in the 90's when several of the attorneys in my office jumped on that amway bandwagon. I remember thinking, "people, you're smarter than this...WTF are you doing?"
