It is winter. I am sure of it.

It's mid 40s, and mild, but still winter. I think.

I feel worse today than I have this whole time. I hate taking medicine.  The side effects are worse than the illness.

Feel better. I will be off for two weeks with the boys. Time to start thinking of things to do....

Hope you feel better Dona. I hope the Christmas spirit finds both of you. Soon.

Morning!

Dona, you will feel better before you know it.

The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is to sing loud for all to hear!

Ya'll just start belting out those Christmas songs.

FNW, you need lots of craft supplies.

Morning all! I think that winter may be making a brief appearance. We went from a high yesterday of 69 to a high of 53 today. It will drop to a high of 43 over the weekend only to rebound back up to 70 by Wednesday. This is NOT typical weather. Christmas is expected to be 65. It is colder in Vegas than it is here. Guess I won't be using the pool.

Today is all school work except a visit to the Chiro and the post office.

Morning all.
Dona, hope you get to feeling better.
Yay, LL! It will never happen again, you know.
FNW, enjoy your two weeks off with the boys!
jlbear, hope this semester is almost over for you.
Good morning Lily, ed, and TD.
Riding sent her nasty weather my way. Cold wind, snow and ice. School has a late start. The roads are really bad.
The wind is howling, makes a great day for cuddling up with the dog, coffee and maybe a good book, if I can find one I haven't read.
The kitty attacked a few of the presents under the tree!! I did lock him out of the living room last night, but DH came down at 4 this morning and left the door open.
Anyone want a cat?

Ugh. I have an appointment with a new dr this morning because my dr is terrible. I've been waiting on this referral for nearly two months. Last night I read the doctors reviews and they're terrible too. Worse than the doc I'm seeing. I want to skip the appointment but also feel like I should give her a chance.

But seriously. the reviews were describing the legal action against this doctor.

I was referred to her my G.P. for social/ Generalized anxiety disorder. With a twelve year benzo addiction. Her lack of knowledge of neurotransmitters is perplexing. GABA receptors is how valium works. A replacement with ciprolex only words on epinephrine and to some degree, seratonin. Benzos are serious business with possible protracted symptoms that can last over a year, if not done on a very slow taper with the patients own adjustment. Her 48 hr. fee for cancellation amounts to nothing but 'extortion'. Always get a second or even third opinion. Good luck!

I'm not sure she knows how to read at a grade 2 level. I should have just talked to the homeless guy I saw on my way to her office. It is a very scary that she has a licence to help people. I would not trust this person to tie a shoe, let alone help people with their medical needs. What perplexes me the most, is that the governing bodies in Canada have not revoked her liscence. If she's a doctor, then I'm the pope! Stay away...

On one of the rare occasions where she actually wanted to discuss my personal life (she's a psychiatrist), she suggested that I stop dating white women and start dating more Asian women because they "understand their role in a relationship". It seems white women "act like men", and that makes guys like me "forget" how to be in a relationship? And here I thought my relationship problems were more rooted in my inability to trust other people. Silly me. At least she's willing to prescribe the medication I need.

Dr. did not know what dopamine is ..... Just don't know how a person like her can actually practice in Canada. It's time Fraser Health monitors those so called physicians.

What a horrible person. I am quite ill, so went to see Dr. looking for a sympathetic and helpful ear—what a disappointment. She had a student with her on the day that I saw her and she talked very disrespectfully about me to the student as I sat there beside her in dismay ("I'm in the room, hello, I can hear you"). It was very hurtful, certainly not the way a 'healer' should treat someone who is already down in the dumps and vulnerable. I would recommend seeing anyone else, but certainly not this person.

A is very unprofessional. She is rude, emotionless, hard hearted and a total bully. She is filthy. She pushes meds like crazy..every time I go to her she won't listen to me or my problems..she says its not not her problem..only things she does is increases my doze! A pushy pill popper herself. Never going back to her again!

She is in direct violation of the BC Code of Ethics and CMA Code of Ethics and other policies. She has taken a patient (my sister) off her medication and weaning her off other meds WITHOUT EVER ASSESSING THE PATIENT NOR EVEN TELLING HER! This is not exaggerated; we are perplexed why Dr. Thakur would do this without discussing it with anyone. We are purusing legal action. The ramifications have been severe and we worry for the patients life. This Dr. is dangerous!

Very personable. Spent plenty of time talking to me about the details that other doctors have no patience for. Even noticed that I should be getting regular blood test for a prescription; a detail that other doctors appear to have neglected.

I was sent to this lady for an independant medical assesment by a third party company. Obviously, they did not check here. First meeting her whe was rude and scolded me. Went into office she asked her questions, would not show me my file, only listened to part of what she heard then diagnosed me. She suggested my GP give me "strong tranquilizers". I was a zombie, my GP took me off them they were not required at all. She ignored issues and stated that I thought - not that the issues actually happened. I was bullied at work then accused of not doing my job - pretty sure she had this info from the other side and diagnosed me prior to me entering her office. Who was paying her - seems that is who she sets her diagnosis to - not actually. She can diagnose in a 1.5 hour time frame????? She is a pill pusher and very biased. Her diagnosis was based on issues that were resolved over 20 years ago, not on what is happening now. How can she keep her license?

I have seen Dr on and off for a couple of years for problems with depression and mental function. I find her generally unhelpful,  seems to have a very limited sympathetic understanding for common mental health issues and learning disabilities and I believe that it hinders any possible therapeutic process. At times she can be very unprofessional and ignorant as if she needs therapeutic help herself. I basically just use her to get my prescriptions refilled as my visits rarely last over 5 minutes and she has very little interest in hearing my issues. I have given up any hope of her giving me any valid Psychiatric help other than prescriptions and use support forums and self help materials for my needs. In short, Dr Thakur is a burned out pill pusher that has no time for anyone but her friends.

Grrrr.  I don't know.  I'll just wait it out.  Maybe I'll take a print out of the reviews of this one when I go back to my GP and ask them to be a little more careful with their referrals in the future.  See if maybe they can find someone better.

It's like Willy Wonka. Once I grew up and realized what a selfish jackass Grampa Joe was, I couldn't enjoy the movie, anymore.

However, I kind of like this headcannon for Star Wars.

You are not the alone on not being a Star Wars fan.  I watched the first three when they came out.  I liked the Ewoks, Chewbacca, R2D2 and 3CPO.  Did not care for the storylines.

I've seen several of the Star Wars movies, cartoons and other stories.

Never really been one of those I'd go out of my way to see.

I'm waiting for it to come on Netflix.

Seriously?  He laid in bed doing nothing for decades, while Charlie's mother worked her fingers to the bone to support all the lay-a-bouts, using the precious money she earned to have her buy tobacco, and the first time something good happens, he's able to get up and enjoy it?  He could get out of bed for fun, but not to work.  Furthermore, he's the one that encouraged Charlie to break the rules and drink the fizzy liftying drink, and when Wonka gives Charlie the factory, his first response is "What about me?  Do I get to come to?"

I've watched that movie a ton of times and never even thought why all of a suddon Grandpa can get out of bed. I have to agree he does sound like a jerk.  He could have at least help charlies's mother around the house.  Not only had she had to work hard all day to barely support them but to come home and take care of them and the housework as well.

I just had to fuss with you!

Not  I've ruined the movie for vou. Next time you watch it, you will get mad.

I know I will never look at grandpa the same.no  Lol!

It's like Willy Wonka. Once I grew up and realized what a selfish jackass Grampa Joe was, I couldn't enjoy the movie, anymore.

However, I kind of like this headcannon for Star Wars.
