Good morning! I am off today! Yay. Think i will make chicken potpies. I have a hankering for those and my kids love them. I got my younger son scheduled to take his Drivers' test the day after Christmas. He is a Senior in HS and is 18 and we just haven't got around to it in the past year. He was driving on his permit. DD had her first practice last night for her travel AAU bball team and is excited to reconnect with her teammates. Hope is all well in Geekland!
Morning! Last school day of 2015. Half day. If it wasn't for testing and the boys didn't want to go, we'd still be in bed.
Hope everyone has a great day!

It's our last day, too, and nothing but Christmas parties. We are allowed to take them home when their parties are over if we want to. Not happening for my kids - I have a very busy day at work.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
Friday's I get to put DD on the bus. Then off to work, I have lots to do but it should be relatively quiet. I work Monday and Tuesday but since most are off I can focus on my mandatory on line training. Then off from the 23rd until the Monday after NYs. DD has school through the 23rd. We have to watch the days off here because of snow days.

Off to the liquor store. My boss is sending me Christmas shopping for him 😀

How can he legally make you do his Christmas shopping?
What a jerk.
Legally I'm sure he can't make me. Just like he really can't make me schedule his daughters flights for vacation, or pay his country club dues, or make his hair appointments, or wash his dishes he leaves around the office. But I do it anyways. I keep him happy. Which gives me job security.
Morning all. My mom called all hysterical. Apparently my great niece who is 2 yo climbed up on the stove & burned her hands & arms. The ER sent her to a burn trauma unit at a different hospital. I keep telling her & myself that it is precautionary & that it doesn't mean she terribly burnt. They are 8 hours away so we don't really have a lot of information. Hold a good thought for us please.

Oh, poor thing. I'm so sorry. That has to be painful.

On a brighter night we just got a box of Sherries Berries from one of our clients.
Eat them fast!
I know that it is Christmas & there are all sorts of packages shipping. With that said our berries did not arrive in the best condition. The ice was beginning to melt & got the box wet. Half of the berries were shaken out of their little spaces & just rolling around & the chocolate had chipped off. I have sent them before & you pay more for the shipping than the berries. I will never mention it to my client but if it was a close friend or family member I would so they could get their shipping charge back. They still tasted delicious!
Yesterday the USPS delivered a box addressed only to my boys from FIL. He left it on the driveway in the pouring rain. I left it in the garage to dry out and today I opened it. They gave the boys two books each. They are wrapped, and the wrapping paper is pretty torn up, so who knows what kind of shape the books are in.
HAPPY Friday,
still below zero here, but clear blue skies, and some wind, but not too bad.
I am so looking forward to the weekend. DD and I are getting pedicures tomorrow. I need to get last minute Christmas Eve and day food, and a few other odds and ends to get all gifts done.
I finally *locked* myself in the guest room and almost every gift is wrapped, just a few left but my back gave out LOL figure I will get those done this weekend.
Hope this dins everyone doing good

Bought my boss his presents. I wrapped them up all pretty. Dropped off his rental car and picked up his car from the dealership. He called me perfect. That's why I do it all.
She's about 5'6" and Jesse is 6'3". I was coming back in the house when I heard the seat slide all the way back. LOL...

My #2 gave pneumonia to my father when he (my son) was 3. It was horrible. I thought we were going to lose him (my father). Get you both on antibiotics, stat!
