I was getting into a deep kitchen cleaning mode and then my ADD kicked in and it was giving me anxiety so I needed to take a break. DD hasn't done the part I need her to do so the ocd in me can't get past that.

 I wish it was that easy.  3 of the 5 do not drink.  And DH does not want to do a gift cards since that would show how much he spent.

He is a PITA.  Loveable but a PITA.

Gonna be a busy weekend and upcoming week. Having Christmas with my side of the family on Monday. Will prep the food for that tomorrow so on Monday all I have to do is pop everything in the oven. We're doing the cookies and milk for Santa thing this year. Will make cookies tomorrow for DS to put out for Santa before he goes to bed.

I can't believe DS will be 2 a week from tomorrow. It's not fair that he's growing up so fast. I want my squishy newborn back! The week will fly by too with party prep. I'm thinking this year's goodie bags might be the sword and shield I'm making for each kid. I don't see why it can't be and I don't particularly care if someone gets butthurt that there isn't a bunch of swag to take home. It's a medieval-themed party so a shield and sword is appropriate.

Yeah, he wasn't worried, but I was. Mergers, sales, etc., anything can happen. He said they told him there were two other jobs at the same level that he could do. He interviewed for his current position and they asked him which one he wanted. He wanted the one he is currently doing, so they gave it to him. There was another person who was doing it at the other company (that they merged with) and she was sent to do another job within the company.

Nap was a bust.

Oh well.

Going to make peppermint bark and either cupcakes or cookies.

When I went to work the temp was 19 and it got all the way up to 28 today. It's supposed to get as high as 40's this week...no white Christmas for us. My mom will be bummed.

Worked a full day and then did some Christmas shopping - presents AND food. Then met DH for dinner and came home. Exhausted now, but no work tomorrow so that's good. I will spend the day cleaning, wrapping, and prepping the house for my parents and DD. Can't wait to have everyone here!!
