I got an Insta-pot for Christmas. I am so excited. It's a pressure cooker, rice cooker, slow cooker, yogurt maker, all in one. You can even sear meat in it.

Does anyone have any good pressure cooker recipies they like? I am anxious to use it, and I can google pressure cooker recipies, but I thought I would ask our cooks here first. We are a knowledgeable bunch and I would rather try something that someone here can vouch for first.

Thanks!

The risotto recipe there is very easy and delicious. Soups are extremely easy.

I got the Instant Pot too for Xmas! I got the cookbook Great Foods Fast on Amazon to go with the pressure cooker. I tried the Bourbon chicken recipe yesterday. It was good! Going to try a Pot Roast recipe in there next. If you look on Amazon for the book, you can look inside the book and see some of the recipes. It's worth buying.

Google Wolfgang Puck pressure cooker recipes. Or see if HTV has a recipe section.

I just cooked 2 boneless skinless thighs with 3/4th cup salsa, half a taco seasoning packet and 1/2 cup water on chicken function for 12 minutes. Then I cooked white rice, Bain Marie style, 3 minutes high pressure without washing the pot and a cup of water in the bottom. Shredded and reduced the chicken. Yummy!

Sounds delish!! I will have to try that! The chicken I made yearerday was awesome. I couldn't believe how fast the potatoes cooked. Incredible. I showed DD how to do it too so she can make her own dinner. She was excited by how fast it worked!

I have a love affair with mine. And DH approves. I have 2 insert pots, 2 steamer baskets, the glass lid and several other accessories. You don't need them but they can be helpful.

Polenta, risotto, stew, soup, pot roast, Osso bucco, eggs, cheesecake, so much good food.

There is also a Facebook group just for the IP.
