I stayed home yesterday, but don't feel much better today. Just a cold & sore throat, so nothing like other Geeks are dealing with.

Trudy, you should get a bulk box of "hot hands".

Put them under you feet, in pockets and scarves.

When I was in band they were absolutely vital. We would put the smallest ones in our gloves.

Made a huge difference.

Good morning all.

Finally home again. The funeral for my uncle was wonderful. What a wonderful celebration of life! We danced out of the church to polka music. It was great!

Enjoyed catching up with lots of family. I think our hearts sang in reunion. It truly was a good day.

My brother is in surgery this morning. He has an exo-gastric hernia, so I'm anxiously awaiting on news of a successful surgery.

Hope to finish the quilt yet today. I will send it to a professional quilter with a long arm soon. I want this one to be perfect.

Hope everyone has a great day today. Especially, TRUDY!!

Oh, yeah.  I remember those things!  My office is in an old colonial house.  Think New England.  The wind whips through it.

 I think that's awesome.

Praying your brother does well.

Would a space heater next to your desk help? I worked in an old, drafty office and it saved me, at least while I was sitting at my desk. Then again, it was in California so how cold did it really get.

I'm having a moment. One of our VPs just gets on my last nerve. She is so demanding and helpless. She wants everyone to drop everything when she decides to grace us with her time. Um, not happening. We are all doing multiple jobs, I can't cater to you. Oh, and I DONT WORK FOR YOU! Whenever you do something for her, she makes a big show of thanking you - but it's so fake, I would rather she just didn't say anything than to patronize me like that.

Rant over........for now

Only if the nerve is already dead. It's the "after" time that can be painful.

I've had three root canals. First two were a breeze, third one, I wanted to die.

Good luck, Dona!!

Yeah that is my worry too.  Of course when bad things happen the first thing I do is call my mother.  She said a good friend of my brother does mold remediation so at least I won't be ripped off & may get a possible discount if I have my brother set it up for me.

I have no idea. We don't know what she does with most of her time. She's always late, makes everyone wait on her, her office is a mess (it got deemed a "fire hazard" during our last safety inspection), and is always running around flustered. She makes a big deal about how she's "been answering emails since 4 this morning" or the like.....as she rushes into an 8:30am meeting at 9:15 because she just got to the office when the work day starts at 8 here :-/ it's how she is, and we all just have to deal with her. Luckily for me, I get to tell her no sometimes, and it feels so good. She tried to get me to do her expense report a couple weeks ago. She wouldnt come out and ask me to do it, she was hinting by asking questions about how to do it. Finally she goes "so what I'm hearing is I need to do this myself?"  I was like, um, yeah. Most of the time I can grin and bare it, but I've barely slept since Saturday and I'm already fried. I just can't deal with her $hit today.

LOL! No nap for me, Czech!

I just spent the past half hour reading up on how to get rid of Asian Long horned beetles.

Wayne's brother, who lives in western PA, got a load of firewood that is infested with the critters.

Bill doesn't have a computer, so, when ever he needs something researched, I get the phone call!biggrin

What a trip.wink

She used to have a minion that did all of these things for her - all the stuff VP thinks is beneath her. But, minion left the company, and with our current situation, they did not fill the position. Minion's real duties were distributed to those of us left. However, doting on VP was not actually part of minion's official job. So VP has been trying guilt us into doing her stuff since.

3rd day of rain but the sun came out a little bit. El Nino, my butt.

I need to find a way to grow whatever tree produces those cutie oranges. I also need to get good at growing cherry tomatoes. DS eats both like he'll never have another one again.

Nope. No stone yet. He says he's not in pain anymore and thinks the stone is in his bladder. So who knows. I've decided I'm going to try to be a lot nicer to him since he's not drinking any coffee.
