I am going in late to work. I have to drop off my car at the auto body shop and pick up a rental. Hate driving unfamiliar cars.

Morning!

Morning.

It's 19 here. That's cold.

Didn't sleep well. Was 4ish when I went into a fitful sleep. And then Caitlyn was up at 6.

I'm taking the boys to school and then I'm going back to bed.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Some jerk put a William Sonoma peppermint bark tin on the table in the lounge. Inside tin, home made leftover Christmas cookies. A-hole.

My #1 gave me a WS peppermint bark tin for my birthday. I haven't opened it yet. Now I'm wondering what's inside...

And the gophers are having a field day in our gardens - seriously! I counted 59 hills. DH saw a gizmo that pumps carbon monoxide into the holes - he's going to try it. If it works, we'll loan it out to our neighbors after we get rid of our pests first.

Morning everyone. It is cold here. I found an old fleece pullover & put it in the stray cat's box & now he loves sleeping there. I am happy because I was worried about him out in the cold. He even stayed warm & dry Saturday night when it poured rain.

I think he does.  He is getting friendlier.  I still wear oven mitts when dealing with him but he rubs his head on my arm now & hasn't bitten in a week or so.

The Supreme Court denied cert on one of my cases.   So the appellate court's bad decision is going to stand.  There were other attorneys around the state awaiting this decision with their breath held.  It goes against tons of case law.

I always thought Lady Gaga was ugly until I saw her on the Barnes & Noble commercial over Christmas. She is actually pretty & just makes herself look bad.

Today has certifiably turned crappy for me!
I took a tray of bacon to put it in the oven to bake, and the oven door handle came off in my hand! Broken on one side, and the screw hanging on the inside on the other side. Used oven mitts to open the door & deposit the bacon; now I have to find out where the model/serial numbers are located.
I think 11 years is too young for an oven to start falling apart. I take good care of my appliances - my previous oven was still going strong at 21 years when we moved.

Sorry to hear about the crappie day some are having.

I feel more human after food and a nap.

Watched Galavant last night for the first time. I kinda like it.

Of course, Timothy Omundson is fun to watch no matter what he does.

That sucks! What brand is it? I'll avoid them in the future.

Our oven is old enough, that I don't think there is a replacement handle available. We may have to bit the bullet and buy a new one. It is over 20 years old.
