Yeah, I should go to Meeting today. I miss going. But DH stayed up way too late & he wanted to visit Itty bitty today.

It is 31 here, not bad but bitter cold comes back in tonight. I forgot to get gas for my snowblower yesterday so have to do that today. I may snow over night.

My cleaning person just cancelled on me, she comes on Sundays. Her brother was killed in a car crash last night. Driving over 100 MPH. He was 46, always in trouble. They did not have a good/close relationship but she is left to pick up the pieces.

IMHO, given a choice of either seeing itty bitty, or going to a meeting, I'd always choose itty bitty. But that's me.

Working on finishing the soup today. Need to make the tomato sauce to add in. I also need to run some more food and treats over to the kennel. My dad is going back to work next week, and my mom is going with him. So their dogs are spending the week at the spa, and Corgi and I get the house to ourselves for a week longer

Today's weather is not supposed to be that bad, in the low 40s. Tomorrow and Tuesday are calling for wind chills around 0. I wish it would make up its mind on if it is going to be cold or freezing. This going back and forth between 20 and 50 is crazy.

Need to work on getting things done around the house. This is pretty much my list for this week on my days off starting today.

Laundry - 6 loads of household (towels, sheets, blankets), 2 personal clothes
Floors need to be mopped
Fridge and Freezers need to be organized and inventoried again
Menu planning but this cannot be done until inventory is done
Shelves need to be organized in the basement
Shelves needs to be assembled & organized in the attic
Change the shower curtain rod - we have a straight rod currently, I bought a curved rod
Change the caulking around the tub

Well, it didn't get as cold as predicted. It was -12, with a windchill of -19 this morning. We may make it to the single digits today. We are not going out anywhere today.
Roast in the oven, lots of coffee, maybe some sewing and that's good enough for me today.
Hope everyone stays warm and toasty today.

We have a probably of some kind of precipitation of 40% just depends on when the moisture gets here.

Just got back from shopping. The car said it's 37 degrees, but the remote thermometers say it's 33.

We're having light snow that's sticking to the cars. I expect the snow will get heavier. Columbus might not find land tomorrow if it's still snowing. cry

Stopped at CVS to get some vitamins Spouse wants. They have "buy one get one free!!! " signs completely blocking the view of the vitamin bottles, so finding anything requires either lifting the sale tags out of the way, one at a time, or getting a clerk to do it. Stupid move.

Had to sit in the car with the motor/defroster running for 15 minutes this morning before I could see out the windshield. At least I'm smart and don't try and use the wipers until the defroster has done all its work - don't want to ruin the wiper blades. 31 when I first went out; 50 when we came home from Church. Stay warm, my good Peeps. Spring will get here eventually.

If you don't have a scraper, you can use a credit or gift card.

I keep an expired Tim Horton's card in the car because I often have frost buildup on the INSIDE of the windshield.

Almost all of ours are stil up. My dad was in the process of taking down the outside ones when he had his heart attack. And he hadn't gotten the boxes up from the garage to put the inside ones in. Maybe next weekend.

DH had most of them down by the time I was out of the shower. I helped him finish up and organize the boxes. We need another plastic storage container. though. We got some new stuff this year so we had too much to fit in the old boxes. I like the tree and would keep it up all year but it's kind of frowned upon.

My 6th Grade team did well in our basketball tourny this weekend. We won 3 and lost one. Came in second. Rhe games were very exciting. We won our last 2 by one point.

Reading all these temperatures and snow reports, I'm thinking I should rethink my desire to move further north to get away from 100+ summer days. I don't know if I could handle that much cold.

We have a nice fire going because it's <50 here. We are having a lazy Sunday, some chores and a few movies.

Thanks everyone. The news stations are finally reporting on the accident. He was alone in the car he was going so fast that he lost control and hit some trees and the car flipped. The pictures are awful, mangled metal with just a wheel sticking up. No one else was involved so that is good. He does leave a 17YO daughter behind.
