SS talks about this a lot. The butterfly effect. And we always discuss how if we went back to a certain time it would change the outcome of the future. So would you go back in time to risk changing your now life?
I put maybe. I love the way my life is now but I sure would like my body to be a few years younger. I mean, I'm really happy with how things have turned out for me but I wish my body still worked like it was 25!

Hard to say. I wouldn't want to change anything. But I would want to see my grandparents again. I want to spend an afternoon curled up in my grandma's lap while she reads me a book or teaches me to sew. Then take a walk in the woods with my grandpa while he tells me stories about when he was young. I would give anything to have one of those days again. But I don't want to change anything that might effect me now.

As hard as I made things on myself, I like who I am.
Psalms 139:13-16
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

My life would be vastly different if I changed just a couple of choices I made in high school. I would like to spare myself the consequences of those choices, and yet I am very happy with my life as it is now.
I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for everything that came before, so I guess it all worked out for the best.

I don't think it's about living in the past or living with regrets. I just kind of think sometimes it's fun to look back and wonder if you had made different choices back then where would you be now. My SS watches a lot of shows about the future so we talk about this a lot. We always discuss about how he wouldn't be here if certain bad things didn't happen.

I barely survived it the first time. Why chance it?

There are a lot of things I wish I did differently till I start to think that then I wouldn't have met my husband or had my kids and grandkids.
I think though it would be nice to spend some time with my parents and sister and to appreciate my youth more.
That's how I feel. Everything lead me to this point. Every mistake I made. But I sure wish I had a young body!

Can I go back about an hour? I'm regretting the bagel I had.

I would stop my sister from being molested by a family friend. It would mean me going back to when I was around 10 years old. I would have to do school all over again, and there would be a strong possibility that I wouldn't meet my prince charming later when I am 23, but for her I would do it.

That is beyond words. It's really beautiful that you would do that.

Maybe I could go back to 1950, buy some IBM, Apple and Microsoft stock, put it into a trust for myself,
then return to the present.

Same here. Maybe not those exact same stocks or time frame. Maybe not even stocks at all. But that idea. I wouldn't change anything in my past, but I'd make my future, after I came back, nice and comfortably wealthy.
