Is there a protest?? A petition???? That us the only reason I am even on netflix!!
We need to start one! What the heck?????!!!!!!!
Do it!! I am at work and on my phone, but if you start one I will send it to ALL of my friends!!
They don't have a regular facebook page! What! I went to change.org, but it made me see this as a first world problem with all the needed change on there.
So, I'm just going to email them - have all your friends do the same.

British television fans have had an uneasy week, thanks to rumors that several popular BBC shows, including “Doctor Who,” “Luther,” and “The Office,” were flagged as set to expire from Netflix’s streaming service on Jan. 31. But on Friday, Netflix confirmed that the shows — well, some of them, anyway — will be renewed and available to subscribers for quite a bit longer.
The news (particularly of the possible disappearance of “Doctor Who”) has flown around fan blogs all week. A petition to save “Doctor Who” from Netflix annihilation gained more than 30,000 signatures.
Here’s an incomplete list of shows that “are being renewed and will be here to stay with no delay in viewing,” according to an e-mailed statement from Netflix spokeswoman Erin Dwyer:
Classic Doctor Who; 18 Collections Copper, Seasons 1-2 Doctor Who, Seasons 1-7 House of Cards Trilogy Keeping Up Appearances, Season 1 Luther, Seasons 1-3 Monarch of the Glen, Seasons 1-6 North & South The Buccaneers The Office (U.K.), Seasons 1-2 Torchwood, Seasons 1-4 Wallander, Seasons 1-3
Meanwhile, Netflix also singled out a few shows that won’t be available past the end of the month. So, commence long weekend binge watching of “Fawlty Towers,” “Blackadder,” “MI-5″ and “Red Dwarf,” if any of those are your thing. Again, that list from Netflix of expiring shows is incomplete.
It’s also worth clarifying that not every single BBC show available on Netflix’s streaming service was up for renewal, despite some reports to the contrary. Some of the shows that weren’t part of this round of renewals — and therefore were in no danger of disappearing come Feb. 1 — include “Call the Midwife,” “Happy Valley,” “Sherlock,” and “The Honorable Woman.”
(CNN)Binge-watching fans of "Doctor Who" and "Luther" can breathe a sigh of relief.
Netflix confirmed on Friday that it's renewed the contracts of several BBC shows, including several fan favorites.
"Doctor Who" is among those that will remain available on the streaming service beyond the end of the month.
Last week, there were concerns that the shows might not return to Netflix because of an expiring contract. Fans of "Doctor Who" had launched an online petition to keep the series available.
Other BBC shows, however weren't so lucky. "Fawlty Towers," "Blackadder," "MI-5″ and "Red Dwarf" will be leaving Netflix after January 31.
Here's a full list of which series will still be available on Netflix in February, according to Variety:
Classic "Doctor Who"
"Doctor Who" seasons 1 through 7
"Copper" seasons 1 and 2
"House of Cards" trilogy
"Keeping Up Appearances" season 1
"Luther" seasons 1 through 3
"Monarch of the Glen" seasons 1 through 6
"North & South"
"Robin Hood" seasons 1 through 3
"The Buccaneers"
"The Office" U.K. seasons 1 and 2
"Top Gear" seasons 17 though 20
"Torchwood" seasons 1 through 4
"Wallander" seasons 1 through 3
"Sherlock," "Happy Valley," "The Honorable Woman" and "Call the Midwife" were not up for renewal and will remain on Netflix as well.
Me either. The only one I'll miss is Gifted Hands.

I have a friend who has Netflix and they have not said anything to me about shows expiring. Then again, maybe they don't watch any of the shows expiring. I have never had Netflix as I am totally not a movie watcher. There is only one TV show on that list I watch.
Fortunately my cable company has a number of On Demand channels, so I can catch shows I missed on the following day or much later, whether Primetime or other cable shows, and they also have On Demand movies. And no, I do not have a DVR (I have never owned a DVD player either) or other device that can record shows. There is an extra charge for that and it is not cheap.

I wish they'd get more series. DH and I love those.

So it seems that I am the only one who saw the humor ion this post?
