Thank goodness! This could have ended very, very badly.

 

A suspected car thief in Longueuil returned the vehicle he's alleged to have stolen after realizing there was a 7-year-old child in the back seat.

LONGUEUIL – Police have arrested a 47-year-old man suspected of stealing a car from an Esso gas station in Longueuil.

It happened at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The suspect apparently jumped in the car and started driving away, but turned around after he noticed there was a seven-year-old child in the back seat.

“He came back almost to the same place and left the car in a parking lot near the gas station,” sand Tommy Lacroix with Longueuil police.

Officers arrested the man and will be meeting with him later in the day.

At least the car thief had a heart.

Don't leave your car unlocked, with the keys in it, (possibly running) with your child in the back seat.no

Don't do that.

You would enjoy watching the news in Japan, Flan. I cracked up. "Man convicted of (whatever). He must apologize and promise never to do it again." But apparently that's a big sentence for the Japanese.
