Correa, a senior at Braddock High School, who still works at the Miami Burger King told Local 10 that he had posted the picture for a greater purpose.
He was reportedly shocked when news outlets began sharing the photo without getting the story straight first.
'I just wanted to bring attention to how easily people are influenced by what they see on social media,' he told Local 10.
Correa said that he had taken the photo after his manager asked him to pick up some extra chicken nuggets from another Burger King location.
The teen said after sharing the photo his managers laughed about the post.

But I have to ask, why are they borrowing stock from another store?
And that's just about 15 pounds. Would it really get them through til the truck came?
Either the manager didn't order enough or the store is having a special on nuggets.
Crazy story though.
