Anyway... So yeah. You have to tell your computer to not automatically install updates if you dont want windows 10. Grrrr!

Windows 10 is not bad. Also, they are doing this because they will no longer be supporting earlier versions, meaning no virus updates or patches so you should update.

I have vista on my old laptop that the boys use to read books and watch videos. I recently upgraded to 10. It's fine. More bells & whistles which I have not taken advantage of yet.
