I was 25 and completely comfortable with the guy and situation. He was very sweet and sensitive to it being my first time. I have no regrets about my decision.

I like the comparison to "It's like buying a car without a test drive". I think it's stupid to wait until marriage. I do believe in waiting until it's with someone special though. and if that first someone special turns out to be THE one, great. If you are not sexually compatible though, it's good to know ahead of time so you both can find someone you better align with.
I doubt it would have changed anything, but I might have been a more whole person.
