Because it's going to be a doozie of a day. Blizzard moving in, but school hasn't been cancelled yet. I am not going into work. I can make it there, but not home again.
Morning!

Thanks. I am praying that he will be sleepy when he gets done so we can come home and sleep it off. I'm tired. I haven't been sleeping well lately.

Tonight, rain, turning to snow tomorrow, 1-3 inches expected. I'm taking #2 to the doctor today. He's a little better today, but his cough sounds very chesty.
Jesse is going to the Doctor this afternoon as well.

I bet I get a call soon that there will be early dismissal for school, then the drama will start on the town's FB site. should be good for a snowy afternoon entertainment.

We have a threat but the sky is blue and the sun is shining.
But it has been known to change in an hour around here.
Ya'll stay safe.

Off to surgery. When we get home DH will be less a gallbladder.

The cold settled into his chest. He's on antibiotics now. It's been along time since this has happened. <sigh> Good news is, he'll get better fast now. Bad news, he has been having fluid in his ears so I'm going to get him to an ENT to see if he needs tubes. I hope they will do it. It was the best thing #1 ever did.
IKWDTS, it doesn't matter what the schools do, someone will complain.
BONNY, 2 years. Wow.

That worked for me, too, until the last few months. Now he just refuses. I really don't blame him. You couldn't get me to eat yogurt for anything.
He's tried probiotic supplements, but they gave him a rash. I'm sure there are some out there that won't give him a reaction, but I'd rather not experiment on him. He always steals my miso soup when we go out, so when I learned miso was probably as good as yogurt, we both got excited.

Live cultures. When you take antibiotics, they kill the good bacteria in the digestive tract. The result is diarrhea and stomach aches. Last time #2 got horrible stomach aches after a week of being on them. Foods with live cultures, such as yogurt and miso paste, replenish the good bacteria in the tract.

I think it depends on the antibiotic. I always make sure they have something in their stomachs first. I learned about this the hard way when I was preparing for IVF. And if you're only on them a few days it doesn't really have that affect on you. But the longer-taking ones, like biaxin which you take for 10 days, 2X a day, those can wreak havoc.

True.
Biaxin will make you feel like you're dying.

Hi all. DH is home and sore. He's drinking water. The doctor was really nice and gave me his meds to fill while he was in surgery so I didn't have to spend three hours waiting. I talked to flan while I was waiting for him to wake up. I'll put him to bed soon.
Bonny's little munchkin is adorable. He has always been cute but he's a little doll. Then again, chef's son is a cutie. Hell, all kids are cute. Okay, MOST are.
To everyone else I hope you get better, rest, or do whatever you need to do! Wishing you all sunny skies today.
