Today seems to be starting off quite well. Last night was the first night to use the C-PAP machine - and I slept for 8 1/2 hours! Awesome! The machine is absolutely silent, so DH wasn't disturbed.

Schools here are closed again, I'm guessing because of the cold. It's in the single digits now and not expected to get much warmer. I miss snow days, sigh.
Baby Blue, aka Myrtle, is starting to suffer. She is eating well, and gaining weight, but her legs are refusing to straighten out. This puts and incredible amount of stress on her joints, especially her knees.
I have the vet coming in a week for a herd checkup, and if she hasn't improved at least a little, we will probably put her down then. In the meantime, flunixine and padded splints. Who knows, maybe she will catch a passing miracle.

I don't know what I will tell our calf feeder if we have to. She has poured her heart and soul into this baby. Massaging her legs, flexing them, heloing her stand and walk, giving her her pain meds, cuddling her nose and singing silly songs, she adores her.
I told her from the beginning that we might not be able to do much. But if we have to put her down it will just be terrible.
Poor Czech you are never going to get better if you are always surrounded by sick kids. I always got a Z-pack for sinus infections & they cleared up in a few days. Are you using saline spray? That helps flush the crap out. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Lexxy. I just finished a Z-pack and I'm still sick..

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.

Ugh! It has been a few years since I've had one but they really hurt.
I'm starting allergy shots again. So I have been reminded of many unpleasant facts about the world we live in.
Dust is made mostly of insect feces and human skin.
When you breathe pollen, you are inhaling plant sperm.
Yay.

LOL I think I need to dust when I get home tonight.

This is a nasty sinus thing.
Aaron finished a Zack Friday last week and Jesse started one this Monday.
They both are still hacking and snotting and yucky.
They will be going back to the Doctor tomorrow I think.

I'm not sure I understand. Schools are closed because it's cold? is there no way of heating the schools?
I think it's more of the fact that the buses won't start in the mornings, and they don't want the children waiting outside in the cold for what could be long periods.

Won't start? Just how cold is it? Our school buses start when it's 35 below.
Our schools, here in North Georgia, are not built for subzero temps.
No. The schools are not easily heated.

DG is in northern Ohio. Sometimes it's the wind chill temps, too, & idiot parents who don't dress their kids warmly enough.

I think it's they don't want the kids waiting for the busses and walking to school when it's this cold. Honestly, I don't get it either. We didn't miss school for it being cold when I was a kid. Kids today are weak
DS got to go up on stage at Kids Club today! He played the tambourine. He got into it a lot more today than he did next week. I guess he just had to warm up!
I'm ready for a nap and DS seems to be too so maybe I'll get lucky.
