“You may shoot me with your words, you may cut me with your eyes, you may kill me with your hatefulness, but still, like air, I'll rise!” ― Maya Angelou
That is way too vague. Is it your secret or someone else's? Is the secret hiding something you should not have done? Were you asked directly about it?
Is it really nobody else's business? Is it any of your business?
Too many possible variables.
Actually I started wondering after seeing commercials for that show, Younger.
But other than that, we've seen letters about people's past, asking if they should tell a significant other or something like that.
With me, I've kept my past a secret from a whole lot of people.
But just thinking, what would make a secret, a lie?

Do you mean something like "I have terminal cancer and I'm not telling my family"?
Or "I slept around a bunch before I met you but I've tested clean, so I'm not going to mention it"?
I don't know. Sometimes the information would really matter to other people- even if it's none of their business.
It really depends on the situation.
It isn't "lying" to not run around and disclose every detail of your life to anybody and everybody. Didn't we already have this discussion? However, if someone starts to tell you a 'secret" aka cheating on their wife or whatever, i would try to stop them from telling me before they spit it out. But, I would not feel obligated to keep that kind of secret. I mean, if someone told me, i would say, you need to not be telling me but go tell your wife. I wouldn't necessarily run to the wife right away, but I would not be part of the lie. No, i am not going to cover for you in your deception.
In my position, I'm a secret keeper for a lot of things. Luckily, I play dumb really well. If asked point blank a question, sometimes I lie and say I don't know the answer. If it's someone I know I can trust to not pester me, I will answer "I can't tell you". But there are people here who would not leave me alone if they thought I had a piece of information they felt entitled to. Keeping the secrets of the President of this company is a big part of my job and one I do not take lightly. If that means some people get lied to, so be it.

Omission can be a lie. Or, it can simply be that the person you are talking too is not entitled to that information. I don't have to run around shouting to the world about every wart on my behind or posting it on Snapchat.
