If Hillary gets the nomination, can Obama have her arrested (Bengazi/private server) and suspend the elections, because the Democrats will not have a nominee?

He wouldn't do it. Of course I read today the feds don't want to get in the middle of the electoral season so they may just back off for a while.

 No.

Even if she is arrested, she won't have been tried.  Technically, she could still be on the ballot and get elected.  Then, she'd have to be impeached.

They are not going to do anything to her. This is just a publicity show. Lois Lerner anyone? They're just waiting to see what the big newsworthy story is. Then it will fade into the background. Anyone who thinks she is going to spend one day in jail is nuts.

Nothing will happen to her. It is all under his watch as well. So, like Lois Lerner she will get off scot free.

I keep saying this.  Over and over and over.  My DH insists that she'll be indicted.  I told him he'll owe me money when she is.

Here is a scarier thought.

All we need is one "valid crisis" and Obama can declare martial law and never leave office.

As for Hillary, she will most likely going to be elected.

But honestly, as much as I like how Trump talks, I'm still not convinced he's the right choice.

I have a very uneasy feeling about this election. Nothing I can put my finger on. Just a feeling that no matter which one is elected, we are going to end up in some kind of mess like we ain't never seen.

I have the same feeling.  And even worse, I have the feeling that Hillary would probably do the least damage.  I just can't stomach her, though.

I have the same feeling.  And I agree with the statement about Hillary.  I despise her but I'm not sure I'm ready to let the country be torn apart by people trying to grand stand.

IMHO, Hillary will be much worse than Trump.

The GOP brought this upon themselves. We are tired of the "good ol' boys" club with the same ol', same ol' cRap.

I liked Herman Cain a lot back in 2008, when they railroaded him out, that was it for me.

Hillary will def be more of the same.  I am ready for Trump if he actually gets in.  I think the bad feeling you all have is the knowing that the Senate and House will block anything he proposes, Dems and Rep alike.  This election is exactly what we need to break the cycle we have in Washington now and have had for decades.

I don't see a hero.

I see a man who knows how to run a multi-billion dollar organization.

He is use to having a hundred things going at once.

We need serious reconstruction.

But he hasn't actually said how he would do things.

I also don't like his stance on abortion.

Well, his sister is very pro partial birth abortion and a federal judge.  He wholly supports PP so you can expect him support PP.  I see him as more of a reality star than anything else.

His method seems to be throw as much pasta against the wall as possible and see how much sticks.  If he hadn't had a rich daddy, he would never have got off the ground. He is getting sued over his school, has gone bankrupt multiple times, and has had some massive bad ideas, from buikding projects that never even broke ground to startijg a mortgage company just before the housing crash.

That does not spell good business sense to me.

My biggest problem with Trump is that Trump is all about himself. Others may think he's all about America but I don't get that feeling from him. I get the feeling that he wants to be president because it's just another thing to accomplish. Not that he really wants to do it. And that whatever he does it will always be all about what benefits him down the road. I also just can't get on board that he cares about the little people and is going to fight big business for all of us. He is the epitome of big business. He will be true to big business because that is who and what he is. Feel free to disagree with me but those are my feelings.

Dona, I don't see you as someone with a lot of business experience.  ALL business people have more failures than successes.  A good business person has those failures with minimum loss so they can go on.  Is he broke?  Nope.  Does he still manage successful businesses?  Yep.  So how is he a failure?

Actually, it says he is a good business man.

And the "what if's" is irrelevant.

I agree that Obama is arrogant and self centered.  But you say that like just because he is that way no one else can be.  I believe Trump is just as arrogant and self centered as Obama.  In many political circles he's referred to as the White Obama.

Regardless, I am willing to take the chance.  We have been doing the same thing with elections long enough.  Trump is certainly an anomaly but he certainly will not be worse than the status quo.  Our deficit is at the point of almost no return.  It will take a businessman to turn it around.  It is now or never.

Over 42,000 people in Texas voted for people no longer running. People like Christie, Carly, Bush, and there was a lady we'd never even heard of running on the Republican Presidential Ticket.

Yes we do.  But the first day of early voting was the 16th.  DH and I went on the first day to vote.  At that point the only ones still left in the race officially were Kasick, Carson, Trump, Cruz, and Rubio.

But the ballots had to be created, vetted, printed, and delivered prior to the 16th so reality any one who had not dropped about prior to Feb 1 was probably still on it.

Oh boo freaking hoo.  I dont' "hate" Obama.  I hate what he is doing to this country with his policies.  But, seem incapable of understanding that difference.

Hate seems to be the only thing that liberals know. If you disagree you "hate" them. You are a "hater". Well, in my experience, conservatives have no problem being friends with liberals. But, liberals are the ones who seem incapable of friendship with anyone who doesn't agree with their agenda.

That is exactly right.  I had someone end a friendship when I voted for Bush over Kerry.  Told me they couldn't be friends with someone that would vote for Bush.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that was ONE person.

So?  I've seen enough on the other boards as well to know there are others like that.  And you know it, too.

No.  I think she is saying that she has seen this more than once.  We all have.  And, the ones who are constantly whine about us arguing politics aren't conservatives.  They come onto politically charged threads or abortion threads, then complain about the "tone" or it's "contentious", etc.

It seems that liberals cannot handle people who differ in their opinions and approach to life unless they are part and parcel of their agenda.

I had a lot of people unfriend me on FB during the last election. This time, I have pretty much kept my opinion off FB. But I have unfriended several of my former liberal friends because I'm tired of their hate speech against Trump Repos.

There used to be a saying, "Don't discuss politics or religion with friends or family."

Well, I don't DO Facebook & I can't actually say that I've seen that on other boards.

DS2 likes Trump. Should I disinherit him?
