First Monday after time change is torture. Everyone is always in a bad mood.

I'm not in a bad mood! I will give you your point about the day after the time change most are! I have to come home early since the people are coming to get the furniture I am replacing. I feel pretty good this morning I think due to all the physical work I did this weekend. So glad the majority of the spring clean up is done.

Our department head will be back from her seminar. It's been so nice without her. She makes everyone miserable.

I dislike people like that.  Why are they allowed to work with other people?  They should have a job that has no interaction with others.

She just drove off a nurse with 26 years in. Others have quit too. She's only been with us a year.

Why do higher ups not see this?  That is a general question to all companies that allow toxic people supervise others.

No bad mood here, either. Yet.

But if these two young men don't get moving soon....

Need to finish up a load of laundry and that's really it for me today.

As long as they get the job done, they don't care.

It is strangely quiet this morning.

I haven't heard the train, the garbage truck, school bus or the van that picks neighbor up.

The traffic was next to nothing and the two restaurants I pass every morning taking the boys to school were practically empty. They are usually so full it's standing room only.

Get back home and there isn't anyone across the road at the county barn and no one is walking the tracks.

Even the birds that were vigorously chirping have stopped.

It's weird.

Active shooters a few towns over shot police officer outside the station. This morning I learned the officer died. Very sad.

Is that the same incident that was reported last night?

Very sad, indeed.

I hope everyone's day picks up a bit!
My day is okay so far. My sick cow still refuses to die. She now has a bladder infection on top of everything else. But she is still eating and drinking. She needs help to stand, but ince she is up, she perks right up.

Ok, maybe a little bit of a bad mood. I reminded bossman I'm on vacation. He mildly panics that there is no one to fill in for me. So now I have to train a temp tomorrow. She will only be here for 4 days. I need to figure out what to train her on, bossman was unhelpful and just said "whatever you think"

I don't feel 100% today. I felt fine when I woke up but got dizzy & light headed in the shower. I went & laid down for a few minutes but then felt nauseous. I'm sipping hot tea & nibbling crackers at my desk. I hope nobody wants too much from me today.

It's PORING here, but that's OK. I love to sound of rain. I'm on the top floor of my building, so when it rains, it's REALLY loud.

I think I'm going to go pick out prescription sunglasses this afternoon. I miss wearing sunglasses not that I am back in regular RX glasses. Lasik was $$$ down the drain...:(

Yes I am about 2/3 through it.  I love it.  It is hard to put down.  I think I'll have to invest in the other two.  I just last week ordered a few books from B&N.  I decided I wanted the one Oh4 was talking about called The Widow.

I have prescription sunglasses.  The ones I have now I got from Vision Works.  They messed up the film on one side & there is a ripple.  I didn't wear them until I went on vacation & when I came back I never got around to complaining.  But I'll never go there again.

Yeah, it was GREAT for about 2 years.  Then, last fall, G and I were driving somewhere and he asked me to be on the lookout for a certain exit.  I couldn't read the exit signs. :(  Straight to the dr I went and both eyes had gone back to the original state.  It happens to about 1% of people.  And I am ALWAYS in that 1%.

I decided to post this here instead of on yesterday's daily, regarding feeling well emotionally.

Thank you to all my well-wishing Geeks.  It's like I'm learning a new normal and it is simply wonderful.  I'm also weaning off the antidepressants (but that is NOT for everyone; it just happens to be right for me).  I'm realizing that SO much of my fatigue was from depression, which was in turn from the hopeless and abusive situation(s) I was in for so many years.

R, the (officially) ex-BF, is behaving admirably by showing utmost respect for my feelings.  He shows up almost daily (at my invitation) to walk with me in the early mornings, which works well - it's friendship, something I never had with a man before.  He wants much more but has apparently decided to be patient and not pressure me.  I think my alone time is helping me to heal, and it doesn't hurt to have a lot more expendable income than I used to (leech removal does that for a person, LOL).

It's all good.  Have a blessed day, dear Geeks!

Shoot I'm sorry.  I did try to couch my wording so it wouldn't give too much away if you were behind.  If you are only there at 6 out of 15 disks I don't think you have the whole trilogy, just the first book.  Unless the other two books are much shorter.

I read in the authors notes that it had initially been self published as a short story.  It got such a cult following & the fans kept asking for more so he did it in episodes.  Finally a real publisher picked it up & published as a novel.

HM, so glad you are finally starting to really feel better and I'm glad the ex-BF is so understanding.

Lexxy, feel better soon!

DG, you have to train a temp for four days of work? Gosh.

Riding, I thank you not, for the cold & storms coming my way. ;)

I enjoyed a fabulous weekend with DGS! Got my toddler and fabric fix at the same time!

Traveling at 6:30 this morning was not the best idea I've ever had for the Monday of the time change.. Gosh, my butt is dragging.

The house looks like a warmed over disaster. DH had the grand's off and on over the weekend. It shows too. Oh, and they all went fishing and drug half the sandbar into the living room. no

Hi everyone! biggrin

Don't worry about it AT ALL.

I kept checking, both at Indy PL & the library where I work, and it was hard to find.
