There was a fire yesterday and so the new head of WMATA wants to shut it down and do a thorough inspection, because of what happened a year or two ago. However, there is speculation that it's also because of the recent ISIS announcement.
Good news. Went to see my ortho doc this week for a follow-up on my right knee, close to 11 months post-surgery. He was impressed that I am doing so well, so I do not need to follow-up with him further. Yes, one less doctor bill to pay!
Not so good news. At my regular doc appointment for follow-up last week, she detected another arrhythmia, and feels it may be some degree of heart block. To me, it does feel different from the atrial fib and supraventricular tachycardia. They did not have an EKG machine in the office, so I am being scheduled to follow-up with a cardiologist in the same building. I have had this arrhythmia for over a week, every day, so hopefully I can be scheduled soon. So far I am okay. No loss of consciousness, dizziness, stroke symptoms, etc. I have always known this, but in the end, it will be a cardiac issue that ends this lifetime at a relatively young age, so no surprises there. Time to again review and update my final wishes and get affairs in order.
I was supposed to have a yearly apartment inspection yesterday after work, done by the property manager, who apparently forgot. Called his assistant, who was clueless. I have been rescheduled for tomorrow, but who knows if he'll show. I have to put off errands I usually run to be at the apartment, so I am not thrilled with dropping everything to be there and no one shows.
Is it Saturday yet?
