The thunder woke me up a half hour ago - I thought the roof had fallen in! Lots of rain (good for DH's watermelons) and wind. Debris is blowing all across the front yard. Hope the chairs on the deck are still there when we get up.

We didn't get any at our house, but my dads new car is trashed. Broken window and taillights and covered in dings.

My hair is the Halle Berry short do. And it is 100% white so I go for color. My hairdresser gets 3-4 calls a month after I give out his number. But what people fail to realize is with my shape face, curly hair not everyone can wear Halle's short do. But hey go in and ask. We laugh.

A local Mexican place. I ordered the chicken flautas last week & they are to die for so I think I'll have them again today. It is really good but for a Mexican place it seems pricey. We each paid almost $20 for lunch last week.

Cool! What color?

My natural shade is blah brown, so I get some caramel highlights. Hides the grey strands & brightens my mood.

WHY do you color it???? I would DIE for white hair!!!!!! My hair is almost black. I'm never going to be grey/white... cry

Oh, man. No white head! My hairdresser calls me a Q-Tip. She washes in a brown with red highlights. He has to be careful with the white head. Can't let the red turn pink.

That sounds delicious. It's been years since I've been to a good Mexican restaurant.

I only like a limited variety of Mexican food but what I like I could eat every day.

I had Mexican Migas for breakfast today, while DH had 2 carne guisada tacos - $12.00 for two, including iced tea and coke. Love the Migas, and what a great way to use up stale tortilla chips!

Our Mexican places are high too. I can think of one thing under $10. This one up the road here has an $8 cheeseburger. That is the BEST burger ever.

Winds are escalating. Hoping the storms hold off till I get the boys home.

Trudy, my hair is super short. I get the Jamie Lee Curtis short do. My hair is salt and pepper but two weeks ago I colored it. It was supposed to be caramels but it's red. Happens every time.

Another busy day. At least this week is flying by.

DS' grandparents took him to Kids Club today so I could get some stuff done. Taking a break between tasks.

I need a haircut myself but will put it off longer I think. I really, really want to get the opalescence hair but I don't have the guts to do it.

The last two days were pretty windy but it looks like today isn't going to be that windy.

I always dye my own hair. I have one brand I can use without a problem. I had it done professionally once, and I had a very bad reaction b/c I have really sensitive skin, even on my scalp. So, I use what I know I can use now. My new hairdresser tries to get me to try again, but no way.

My hair lost its shine. It went grey quickly. Well, it was salt and pepper. I always had light auburn hair that turned a strawberry blonde in the summer.

But it got so dark in the last 6 years and then dull.

But I'm not sure I like this color.

Good thing about short hair, I can cut the color off a lot faster.

Made it home safely. Went to Nemacolin for Spring Break. The boys had a blast. Everyone stayed healthy. Went dog sledding yesterday. Had to shorten the time out because the weather was warm. So much fun! I think I gained 10 pounds with all the fantastic food. Played mini golf, bowling, got a massage, took a safari. We saw a lion, wolf, zebras, bison, and bears from our condo. Our place was surrounded by the wilderness park.

I stopped dying my hair when most of it came back in white. I was told the new hair would not hold color, so I have never colored it since.

My hair is a mix of a lot of white with my natural color of dark blonde.

Today is almost over!!! YAY!!!

MEXICAN MIGAS - Breakfast
3T oil 3 large onions, chopped 12 eggs ¾ C milk ¾ C salsa 3C stale tortilla chips, crushed 1½C minced cilantro 6 med. tomatoes, diced 1½C shredded Colby Jack 6 garlics, minced 3# sausage, cooked & crumbled s/p Heat oil, add onion. As onion cooks, beat eggs, milk & salsa in large bowl, then mix in tortilla chips. Stir in cilantro, tomatoes, sausage & cheese. When onion is translucent, add garlic cook 1 min more, then pour eggs over top & cook on med-low until eggs are set & liquid is mostly evaporated.

Actually, pretty good. He never got bad at all. I gave him a zyrtec and that dried him up pretty good. He just coughs once in awhile, like once or twice a day, like there's something in his throat. I think maybe it was just seasonal allergies which are controllable now that he's been getting the shots. Whew.
