Good morning!

Breathing is a good thing.

My dressing comes off tomorrow, then I can take a shower.

The top left section of my rib cage still aches. I think the surgeon was pressing pretty hard just under my armpit while he was pulling the last (second) tube out.

Of course, having this inch thick gauze pad taped there is also pretty annoying. Yet ...

Mexican restaurants are hard. You can ask for some plain rice and some warm tortilla bread. When we go for Mexican, Jojo eats rice, chicken out of my quesadilla - I take it out and sure there are no peppers or onions on it - and tortilla bread.

Lily, do you ever take turmeric? You can take it in pill form or cook with it. I know the arthritis is painful and it won't cure it, but no harm in trying. It's supposed to be fabulous for it.

Or rub peppermint oil on your stiff areas? Don't know how it works on arthritis, but it's great for pulled muscles.

I didn't completely get over last weekend before I began pushing myself again. I do that.

My last XRAYS showed significant bone damage. RA is a nasty beast.

My knee is better. I'm cooking like a fiend here. I'm going to be so sore tonight. I have a Hummingbird cake in the oven. Then I have to make the Carrot cake. I already shredded the carrots for that. I have the casserole ready to go into the oven tomorrow. Later tonight I'll frost the cakes. Then my work is done. I used to do a lot of it the day of but then was so exhausted I couldn't enjoy it. Now I do it the day before, get a good night's sleep, and then sit down with my family. I'm sure my knee will be sore again.

I've let SS help in the kitchen. He says I'm so nice I should be nominated for sainthood. I should put that in writing for when he's 17. DH decided to do spring cleaning. And burn things. And make smore's over the burn pile. Ugh.
