It rained HARD for about 3 minutes - and then quit!  But the thunder is still booming long and strong.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I wanted nothing more than to sleep in today. Woke up at 7:30 and can't sleep. 😡

I still have one bottle of wine left from yesterday. I might need to bust it out later today.

I slept in today. My allergies are still on overdrive - so much grossness. We are meeting my sister for dinner tonight, not sure what to do until then. I SHOULD go to work, but not so sure if that's going to happen.

Drizzly here, but no real measurable rain. I noticed a rash on #2's back last night. Today it's not read anymore, but still pimply and seems to have spread a little to his chest. He seems fine otherwise. Not sure if it was from rolling on the grass yesterday evening.

Morning! It's a little rainy here so far today. Highs in the mid-50s. Need to head off to Home Depot and get lag bolts for the new shed. Then we can start to fill it up! I cannot wait to get the garage cleaned out of the gardening stuff so I can go back to doing projects in the garage.

Confession. I also need to get motivated for school work. The current project is killing me. I just have no motivation to work on it. I am so far behind because everything is progressive. I don't like the flex program where I can change the deadlines myself. I want to change to a structured program. And I feel like I have failed which does nothing positive for my motivation levels. This is the first place I have really admitted it because I don't want to let anyone down who is rooting for me.

I have to go to the grocery store today. It is pure torture at the beginning of the month. I am waiting until 2"30 or so, should be calmer then.

I went to buy shoes. I knew exactly what I wanted. I found the box, black shoe size 6.5. Inside the box was a blue shoe size 6. The black 6.5 was no where to be found. They had to order it :(

I'm going to go see these guys tomorrow.
Can't wait. It should be one hell of a show.

One of the hottest young acts on the African continent these days is a six-piece band named Mokoomba, hailing from the Zimbabwean border town of Victoria Falls. Their signature brand of high-energy Afro-fusion, which draws on their Tonga background and adds a healthy dose of funk, Latin and other African influences, has won them fans all over the world, thanks to a rigourous touring schedule and an explosive live show. The band is made up of Mathias Muzaza (lead vocals), Trustworth Samende (guitars), Donald Moyo (keyboards), Miti Mugande (percussion), Ndaba Coster Moyo (drums) and bass player Abundance Mutori.

Taxes are done, files and the return has been spent.  That's what we used to pay for the new shed.

Well, considering they got their inspiration from such icons as Salif Keita, Youssou N'Dour, Baaba Maal and Oiver Mtukudzi, it's going to be EPIC!!!

I leave for a conference on Tuesday so today I am doing major laundry and packing. I also made bacon mac and cheese and some mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. This way all DH has to do this week is grab a chicken from the grocery store and they have dinner. They will probably eat at the dining hall once too.

The dog is giving me a dirty look. He hates suitcases. He knows what they mean.

Have fun weltschmerz and hope you enjoy the conference mm. I hope everyone else's weekend is going well.

Still not feeling good. I hate it when I get a chest cold. The cold is gone but the coughing lingers forever and it makes me so tired. The cough drops is making me sick so I'm going to start mixing lemon and honey.

I think it's the weather, my legs are throbbing and my hands are not wanting to work.

I think we'll all feel better when the front goes through.
