We had a very busy weekend here and it has been raining since Friday night. A slow rain, but rain none the less and we so desperately needed the rain. A good April soaker.
My mom was here this weekend. It was so good to have her here.
Today is the start to another very busy week. I need to make a list so I don't forget stuff.

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
We finally overhauled my husbands wardrobe. New jeans, new khaki's, polo's, t-shirts, and long sleeved button ups. What does he do? He doesn't even hang it up properly. Why? Why do you freak out when you have nothing to wear to work and then treat your clothes so horribly? I almost killed him last night.
At the fishing camp, I don't fuss at DH when he just piles his clean clothes in a laundry basket on top of a dresser, right next to the closet. However, here at home, I get my feathers ruffled when he just piles his clean clothes on the ironing board. Hey! I lugged your heavy hamper to the laundry room, sorted the colors, emptied out your pockets (almost every pair of pants had at least one paper towel stuffed in a pocket!), loaded the washer, transferred to the dryer, and put the nice fresh clothes on the bed. The least you could do would be to put your underwear in the drawers and hang your shirts and pants.
We've got flash flood warnings all over the place until at least Noon on Wednesday. When they say "scattered showers" here in south Texas, it could be pouring on my neighbor's lawn, and we won't get a drop! We had a gully-washer early this morning - for all of 2 minutes! I think most of the showers are going to be north and east of us. I hear Houston is getting hammered.
Beautiful Sunshine! It's supposed to get to mid 80s today! Nice the rest of the wee but not quite as warm (lower-mid 70s).
This morning, took MIL out to breakfast before she left for home. Then I went and got my hair cut and highlighted.
Busy with the little things that build up around the house since I got home. Still need to get the beds stripped, floors mopped and the empty boxes in the attic broken down.
Tomorrow is another job fair so I need to update my generic cover letter. Anyone want to critique it for me?
One of my board members, who happens to be a serious pain in my behind for no reason, has experienced a tragedy this weekend. His daughter has gone missing. The police have found her car - her wallet and phone were inside the glove box. She is nowhere to be found. The police have actually asked for friends and family to go home and not help with the search. I find that puzzling. Her car was found in a town known for its hiking and scenic bluffs. There is miles of river near the bluffs. This won't be a good outcome.
Anyone who feels inclined to think positive thoughts - it would be appreciated I am sure. This man is an azzhat but I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Ever.

That's what I thought too. They don't want people mucking about in the crime scene. It's horrible. She had just left her parents' house and was driving home to her apartment in the city. The town they found her in is not on the way. At all.
His wife is an ex employee of mine. She walked up to me one day and cursed me out because she didn't like a decision I made. She has a serious anger management issue. I hope that she didn't say something to her daughter that she will regret. Again, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

It really is. She is only 24 and her name is Grayce. By all accounts she was a sweet young woman. I never met her, she lived in the city with her older sister. I hope they find her - one way or another.

Just got word that they found her deceased. No other details were released. I am thankful she was found and that it was quick. I am sure 3 days seems like a lifetime - but it could have dragged on much longer. So sad. I don't even know what to say.

OMG that is so sad. I have no other words except to say I am crying tears for her pain and what her family is going through right now.
