I used to cosplay awhile back, usually on Halloween. We don't get the big cons here, just a few small, sad ones, so I have not dressed up in quite awhile. I have cosplayed the 10th Doctor and 8th Doctor. Doctor Who was not big back then, as it is now, so people were not familiar with my characters. I lost interest along the way.

Seems like it would be kind of an expensive hobby.
Oh, it definitely could be. I was at a conference & there was a children's librarian who had the most amazing Victorian/steampunk dress & accessories. I literally could not keep my eyes off her.
I have a cousin who does this. She and her husband both.
It looks like a lot of fun.
